Ok audio component (borderline defective battery)

Purchased this unit almost a year ago.
Good:
Great unit for enjoying high quality music (via Tidal app). Interesting EQs. Built quality was top notch.
Bad:
Operating felt luggish with current system upates and Andriod Auto on my car did not recognise the unit when it's plugged in, bluetooth connection for the car produced extremely low volume. The battery management was indeed a nightmare. All the bad reviews about the battery were true. Had to plug the unit in with my computer (since it did not come with a wall charging adaptor) as constant as possible. Battery would drop from 100% to about 40% on standby with wifi on; and with flight-mode, to about 70-80%, in 6-8 hours. If the computer went into sleep mode while the unit was plugged in, battery would drain even quicker to complete 0 in no time and it would take a few hours to even start re-charge. This happened to two laptops of mine. I'd recommend this product to a friend only if they were a Sony fan already.

Great sound

Only had it a couple of weeks but am very impressed with the sound. Play only my own music on it from ripped CD (FLAV and WAV mainly) collection over many years and a few Hi-Res tracks I have purchased. Battery life is not the best, but I have a small Power Bank that I can slip in my pocket if needed. Not really a problem as I am an old bloke and mainly listen during the night when sleep is hard to find!
I find the music is a bit too much bass with my WF-1000xm4's but excellent with my WH-1000xm3's . Sorry Sony but the best sound is a pair of wired in ear Senn****ers. Crisp and clear sound. I ma invest in some in ear balanced phones yet,
