Good Printer for the money

Bought this printer for my home office. Easy to setup. Duplex function works great. Colours are good. Speed seems fine. My only complaint is that it is a little fan noisy when it prints, otherwise, its one of the best for the money.

I am near zero for computer literacy, but once I typed in the internet code (after Country, date and time input), Lexmark found everything needed to get me up and running! I set my laptop printer for the Lexmark Laser printer, and for the iPad I just hit print (no need to download the drivers to take up space) the printer shows up & we’re off and printing!
I’ve had 4 inkjet printers all full of ink but gummed up from lack of use! If you don’t have print jobs regularly, laser was the printer recommended. Printed a document and a few photos. Loving it so far!
Drawback: “Lexmark” doesn’t show up as printer name, it’s more like a serial number, and I didn’t find where I could customize that, but if this is the printer I’ll be using I guess it won’t matter.
P.S. Amazon is selling exact printer for 500! Best Buy beat them by over 200! Thanks BestBuy.

I purchased this printer for home use. It was easy to setup and connect to the modem. It came with a disc of drivers but when I tried to install one they were all for windows. I have a Mac and iPhone. After searching 15 minutes for drivers for Apple products with no luck I was about to give up. I opened a photo on my iPhone and there was a print option with a dropdown menu with the Lexmark printer. I hit print and had a picture in no time. I checked the Mac Book and the new printer showed up on the print icon. I was happy enough with the printer I just ordered another one for the cottage.

Good purchase for a good price (200 CAD with tax)

I bought this printer on promotion at a very good price (180+tax) and I am very satisfied. Compared to other brands at this price range this printer has 3 connection interfaces: Wifi, LAN and USB. I use WiFi and I am not sure why other reviewers had printing issues due to lost connection (maybe WiFi signal was low in that spot). Printer is very easy to install and has web-server for more detailed configuration. MacOS had detected it easily and installed all drivers automatically. Having 4 toner cartridges that do not expire compared to inkjet, these should last for a long time. The cartridges are rather expensive (about 100 CAD), but I am sure that there will be other generic brands for a lower price and original cartridges should last for quite long time (manufacture claims 1500 pages/cartridge). Contrary to inkjet laser printers use a lot of electricity when turning on, so your lights might flicker, but I found an eco-mode setting (quiet printing) which slowly heats the printer printing elements and does not cause this effect. Printer can also print double-sided pages which is great paper saver. For 200 CAD I would definitely recommend this printer, not sure at 360 CAD price tag (I would go monochrome if I could not find any better price). Overall laser printers provide better reliability, speed and savings (as most manufactures make money from sale of cartridges). For photo printing jobs I would by 6 color inkjet, but for general office/grad work use, I would buy laser.

Not Really Good

It was very easy to set it up. However, after proper instalation and set up, it claims that there is a connection problem, even though there isn't. The printer was installed on the device and device saw the printer, but could not use it. Hmm, starnge. I tired to resolve that in every possible way. The printer prints amazing, but only when it wants to weirdly enough. Many times it cuts the printing context and restars the printing process, and then cut again, and restarts... again. So far, I lots lots of paper beacuse of that. I would say that buying this printer is more likely hit or miss. For me it was miss.

Very disappointed by this printer.
I am an expert in IT and computers, printers and I have read the reviews before ordering it. I Installed the latest drivers and worked around, It keeps disconnecting and painful to set it up again. Very hard to set it up, even with the mobile app, manually and ...
I do not recommend purchasing this printer.

Replacement toner cartridges are very expensive. It's cheaper to buy a new printer.
