We had to downsize when moving across the states, this 19 cu is a nice fridge and we purchased an ice maker. You really must bend over to see whats in the fridge but so far it is a good purchase

I love the space, but I am not happy that both doors do not automatically shut. You have to close the door securely. I would have selected a different refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi - We are truly sorry to hear you're not happy with your new GE refrigerator. We do want you to be happy with your decision to choose GE appliances for your home and may have found information in your owner's manual that will help.
On page 10, you will find the directions for leveling the refrigerator. Ideally, you want to adjust the legs/rollers so the front of the refrigerator is just high enough so the doors will close on their own when opened about halfway -- https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-1000501.pdf --
It keeps food cold, so it does what it is designed to do, but that's it. I'm disappointed in the cheap build quality and lack of more and better shelving and storage. I've had to purchase numerous bins and shelves to make efficient use of the space. Leveling requires you to extend metal legs, as opposed to adjustable height wheels, so should you want to pull the frig out you need to retract the metal leg or drag it across the floor. I did not want an ice maker however the unit comes with one, causing me to pay for something I do not want and taking up valuable space in the freezer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is our second GE refrigerator to be installed in our outdoor kitchen. Our first refrigerator was installed in 2008 and was replaced in 2021 when we remodeled our outdoor kitchen. GE refrigerators are made to withstand the heat of Texas summers and keep everything inside frozen or chilled as desired. The ice maker feature is critical to Texas summer enjoyment. We didn't consider another brand when replacing the first refrigerator. Here's to the next 13 or more years! These pictures are of our old GE the day it was replaced this week.
