A good product. Reviews had a couple of negatives that proved true: it was “loud” and had no way to adjust the temperature for the freezer alone. These proved to be true, but not particularly bothersome. The freezer’s coldness is more than adequate and it’s not loud enough to wake me up, so who cares! Strangely my only objection is that it’s “short.” Which means the freezer is eye level and I have to bend down to see most of the food. Should be the other way around. But I’d buy it again due to its excellent operation and reliability for the money.

Loud and no light in freezer

Some things I noticed that are not satisfactory with my new appliance is that it is always running and loud, ice maker is very slow as it took 3 days to make a fair amount of ice and no light in the freezer is a disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice balance between refrigerator and freezer

Good amount of freezer space and adequate refrigerator space. Bottom door shelf is a little hard to get to.

Great refrigerator!

This refrigerator doesn't have lots of fancy features (fewer things to go wrong/break down, in my opinion), but I love the design. It's very roomy and the top freezer is huge, compared to similar refrigerators I've had in the past. The fridge looks nice and has plenty of room for my water pitcher and a gallon of milk in the door shelf. Before buying this, i was considering buying a separate small chest freezer. No need for that now!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Refrigerator is very noisy and it runs consistently. The bottles inside can be heard clanking togather. Not very happy with it at all..

More info in the manual please.

Very happy with the purchase. However, the first 24 hours after installation and adjustment period were disconcerting because of all the odd sounds and nonstop running. Turns out that all this mental anguish could have been avoided if the manual had a section telling you what to expect during the first 24 hours. Don't be tempted to put the temperature setting higher than "recommended" thinking it'll get to temperature faster after installation. Trust me, the gurgling will stop. An explanation from GE engineers would have been nice to read in the manual. Overall, great product.
