While this model does not come with an ice maker, there is an option to add one if you wish. The refrigerator is compatible with ice maker IM4D.

Noisy

I've owned several GE refrigerators. This one is the noisiest I've ever owned in my life. Dealer has been back twice to try to fix the noise with no luck. They've replaced the part each time, But no significant improvement. Can hear the frig cooling 30 ft and two rooms away. Said the fault is in the design of the cooling compartment. Can hear the rotating fan when it runs, sounds like a small machine gun.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
