Great purchase so far

We've only had it for a few weeks, but we love the design. The freezer is larger than our previous freezer, and the refrigerator's interior design was also well thought out.

Unit was immediately available for pick-up since old Frigidaire was failing and food was rotting. Fit into existing space without difficulty. Front rollers a big help. Pebbled exterior surface will withstand scratches and dents better than SS. Energy Star rating a big plus. Suggest you include order card for compatible ice maker for freezer

The refrigerator does not cool to my satisfaction. Currently the temp in the fridge is 37-41 degrees.

Hi - We are sorry to hear you are not pleased with the operating temperature inside your refrigerator compartment. We can understand you wanting to maintain a colder, more stable temperature and we apologize for your inconvenience. We would recommend the fresh food and freezer compartments be at least 1/2 full since air is not an insulating material. You can add milk jugs or empty soda bottles filled with water to help keep the cold in,. Next, be sure you are measuring the internal temperature properly.
The best way to measure temperature is to place a bulb type or candy thermometer directly into a container of food or liquid that has been in the refrigerator or freezer compartment for at least twenty-four (24) hours. You can also put the thermometer in a glass of water and place it in the fresh food compartment for a minimum of 24 hours.
When checked first thing in the morning the normal temperature range should be between 34-42 degrees Fahrenheit in the refrigerator section and between -5 and +8 degrees Fahrenheit in the freezer section. If the temperature is not as cold as you would like, turn the thermostat to a colder setting. Periodically check the temperature as described above to see if it is reaching your desired setting. HI - Thank you for reaching out regarding your GE refrigerator. What you have observed with your refrigerator is to be expected as the newer models do run for longer periods of time than models of the past.
The compressor is designed to run 80% to 90% of the time. This makes them more energy efficient because the greatest amount of energy is used when the compressor cycles on as opposed to when the compressor is actually running. This type of design also prevents drastic temperature swings when the compressor cycles on and off. We hope we have set your mind at ease. Vikki@GEA

I wanted a non computerized refrigerator. This one fit the bill. A little noisy but maintains the temperature perfectly. I checked it with a thermometer.

Exactly as expected

Works well and as expected. Doesn’t seem to have leveler pegs up front. This unit is in our garage, so slopes forward. Have to prop up with tiles to keep from sliding forward.
