Great Design Some Improvements Suggested

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this laptop for LG’s excellent design, ultra-lightweight yet a full function machine I can cut movies with on the go. With camera and other equipment a pack gets heavy so this 14” Gram was my target. I intentionally bought the 2020 model because I like the design better, the curved corner design looks rugged, and the bottom feet don’t stick out as much as the 2021 model. Overall this machine is great, even faster than I expected for processing movies for social media, and I am impressed with the tight, clean, well working design. I have already made several movies and it worked great, and the firmness of the keyboard and sturdiness give me the feeling it will last nicely even being carried around daily. My suggestions are, 1. (I know updated in 2021 model) but the keyboard is so rigid I had discomfort in my fingers, so I suggest a softer keystroke. 2. I like having a traditional plug as well as USB-C power ins for a backup, and for this plug I suggest a slightly larger plug to prevent bending. 3. The charge light on the side should be a color so it is easier to see (orange and green). 4. A slight bit more space between keyboard and display will avoid tracks from the keyboard on the display. 5. Full sized SD card reader is VERY convenient. 6. Even lighter weight would be great! Thank you for listening.

I am not getting anywhere near 18 hours of battery life. It is more like 8-10 and that is if I use the laptop infrequently. In fact, I charged it to 100%, closed the laptop (which places it in sleep mode) ad opened it up again 2 hours later to discover it is at 95%. I have closed down all battery eating programs and it still eats battery like crazy, The battery meter at the bottom is all over the place. It is not worth looking at. I will call tech support I suppose but it is disappointing since that was a major selling point for me. Other than that I love the design and it IS very light. I just wish I didn’t have to constantly recharge it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG Gram is one the fastest laptops I have seen, I didn’t know the Intel Core i7 offered such speed. It also has a durable design. It also carries a bright full-HD display with impressive viewing angles. The Gram really comes into its own in the battery life department, making it a great choice for school, business, or whatever purpose you choose, The Gram is excellent battery allowed me to effectively use it for hours without considering or thinking about the battery. The Gram features a Core i7 Comet Lake processor, integrated Intel UHD graphics, a 512GB solid-state drive, and 16GB of memory. The Gram displayed advanced graphics and supported ease of use by allowing me to work on multiple tasks and it felt like there was power to spare. The generous 16GB of RAM is wonderful for multitasking and the roomy 512GB SSD is ample space for most. It is also nice to know that the gram is future ready once I am ready to upgrade my Wi-Fi. The Gram’s magnesium alloy shell designed to meet MIL-STD 810G standards, which means it’s passed a battery of durability tests including shock, vibration, pressure, dust, and extreme temperatures. It gives me a little security to know that I don't have to worry about my laptop easy breaking from a fall or being damage just because it got too hot in my bag.
Another nice bonus the Gram has is the fingerprint reader that is embedded in the power button, and. It sits in the top-right corner of its backlit keyboard. It is a set up that I was not sure about, but it works well. The power button’s flat and somewhat stiff design makes it difficult to press inadvertent. I really like the fingerprint reader and it unlocked instantly and never failed to recognize my fingertip.
LG gram is a gem and it raises the bar for advanced, ultra-slim laptops. It feels like advanced technology no matter what I am doing. I don't know if it is doing things faster than other laptops. I have used it for working, gaming, a little video editing, and I trying using it for music and the sound was nice, but I would still rather enjoy my music with a headset. This is a laptop that did everything I demanded of it and then some. The LG Gram is laid out beautifully with functionally enhances its overall appeal. I find myself creating excuses to use the Gram. The ability to perform various functions and have the extended battery life to back it up makes the Gram a Gem.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The gram is such a light laptop that I did a double take when I lifted it out of the box. I don’t know how much it weighs, but it definitely isn’t many grams. It was very easy to set up out of the box. All I did was plug it in, and a few seconds later, I was able to hook onto my home WiFi and voila, I was checking all my accounts and binge watching my favorite tutorials. The screen clarity is very easy on everyone’s eyes. There are a few teens in this household, and fought over who would get to keep it for longer periods. They both are able to stare into it for long periods of times at all hours of the day and night without any complaints. They like the screen and are able to see all the details they need , be it for gaming or tutorials. The Bluetooth was seemless, and the sound is very good , because the headphones. I’ve tested on all the different headphones that we have, and the sound is always clear. The keyboard keys make it easy to type because they are raised and mimic a keyboard. That is a plus because it is hard to type when the keys are molded into the machine. It’s already been used as a zoom class, and the picture was clear. I would suggest an external camera just because it’s not as clear as a phone, of course. The speed of the computer is phenomenal. Since the kids have basically claimed it as their own, from what I have seen, it can run 5 programs at the very least, and still run fast. And these are the programs that take lots of memory, such as editing programs, zoom classroom and multiple player games. Usually the kids need to do all those things on different devices, but the Gram is able to rub all those apps without problems simultaneously. The battery life is what has impressed me most. I am able to use the computer on a full charge for a long time. The kids could actually play for their normal marathon times without ever plugging it in to recharge it. So that’s more than 7-8 hours with no battery conserving in any way shape or form. I like the multiple USB ports because when it is charging, you can charge multiple devices at once. I couldn’t be happier with the gram, even if it weighed more. It is very lightweight but is a heavyweight in terms of power, ability to sustain power and speed. I suggest buying more than one because once the others find out it’s power, you’re not going to get it back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this laptop. I’ve been using it for 2 weeks now and it is the fastest processing computer I’ve ever seen. It is quick to turn on and start up with no lag time. The design is great and I love the keyboard feeling. We are using it to write a children’s book and the editing functions that come with it are great! The weight of the computer is super light! It’s easy to store and also travel with. The battery life lasts easily all day, without a charge even while watching movies on the amazingly bright and excellent quality screen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I traded in a MacBook Air because I needed a computer for work on occasion and Mac's will not run Citrix well despite what they tell you. It does everything I need it to with no issues and is much lighter than the MacBook to boot. My daughter joked that they call it a gram because it only weighs a gram. It is highly recommended by Consumer Reports which is the primary reason I chose this make and model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this in November to use as a work laptop. I wanted something lightweight and this is exactly that. I love the size for mobility, has a pretty good system, great battery life, and didn't come with as much random preinstalled software as other laptops I have purchased. Video and pictures look great as well.
