It also makes the ice in a sphere shape, which makes it look fantastic . It has great features and you can use main features from the LG app. The water filter is very easy too change too. Overall it has been the best fridge I have bought and is completely worth the money.

The main functions of the refrigerator work well, and I especially like the craft ice maker. The problem we have with it is the door in door feature. The smaller drink access door does not latch well so it pops opens easily after you close it. If the doors are closed and you bump the side or front of the refrigerator this door pops open. If you let the main fridge door close on its own, the door is heavy enough that the force of the closure will pop open the smaller door. Unfortunately when the smaller door pops open, the refrigerator lights come on but the refrigerator does not sound a chime or warning that the door is ajar.
I contacted LG about the problem and they said it was a door leveling issue. I explained I already leveled the door per the manual and was in the process of sending them photos. However, support just sent the standard video links for leveling the doors and closed the chat session, in the middle of my response. They also closed the window to review or provide feedback on my support session so I wasn't able to comment any further.
If your LG refrigerator has an issue or you need support it seems they do not care.

I bought this 4 months ago, and the compessor went out. 4 service people tried to fix it. and it keeps failing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had this refrigerator for just about a month now. Love the look of it more than anything. My husband wanted this specific refrigerator for the craft ice and I wanted it for the door in door glass door. We got the best or both worlds!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exactly the same problem like what jags4me had. Front doors are not even and build up frost. I swapped THREE TIMES, but surprisingly has the same problem. A repair man replaced rubber gasket in the freezer side door but no change. Not recommended to future buyers for this particular model.

I bought this refrigerator in March 2021 and have had problems with frost and ice buildup from day 1. LG Techs have been out 4 times to adjust door seals, replace door and seals, replace compressor, and then confirmed the problem still exists. Engineering is now advising them to use tape to repair the seal. What a joke..now waiting on special order tape. .

I hated our french style refrig that came with the house bc very uncomfortable to use in many ways. Year 2005, we had LG door in door refrig that I loved very much. So we decided to get the new one with LG refrig based on our experience. Our previouse LG refrig 18 years old one we had in Korea I gave to my sister when we move to US, my sister still use in Korea, believe or not it is still working as of 2023 This new sde by sidev, instaview, door in door refrig has much more space, of course upgraded designed from years ago, three shelf in mini door helps we dont need to open the whole door for daily use. Many our friends visited our home were so impressed. Many people didnt even know this type of design refrig were out in the market. We love overall space, funtion, designed and energy save LG side by side refrig. Its very sophiscated design and easy to clean also. I expect this refrig to works like my last LG refrig we had. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a effective & stylish durable refrig.

I had so much food that turned bad due to its lack of cooling and the ice not forming correctly in the freezer. They replaced it about 4 times and still the same problem. I believe because the unit has its brain located on top instead of the back. Therefore the dust and moisture from the unit is easily absorbed.
