Problem is it dims the screen to half brightness without warning and the only way to get full brightness back is by shutting the monitor off and rebooting it. Considering turning it back in as junk. Will try using a different cable for the signal to see if that fixes it. Not very hopeful.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The brightness is good and it can be adjusted easily.
The speakers are fine and it has a good sound quality, might consider getting external speakers for best audio.

I've had this screen for a few weeks and it is simply outstanding. It was pretty much ready to go out of the box and it looks amazing. I a MacBook Pro that I have docked to the screen and the colors look just a great as they do on my Mac.
