Great set for a small city

The LEGO 3in1 buildings are among my favorite sets. They always have interesting designs that can fit into a small LEGO city setup. With a little customization they look great in a full Expert Modular city as well.
This set has some very nice details like:
Window details
The working spaceship ride
Tile of the original Expert Modular Cafe Corner (found only in 1 other set - Assembly Square)
A Lego employee shirt on the toy store worker

Really like all 3 of the builds that can be made (only 1 at a time). This set is a great addition to a small LEGO city. I personally love the smaller buildings as they look great, are relatively easy to build and the price is perfect.
Eventually I will build out the back of toy shop and add in stairs for the 2nd floor. The great thing is that it is fine as is, but also lets us tinkerers make it our own.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The toy store in this set in phenomenal, from the printed miniature lego boxes to the toy trains and planes on display, oh, and also the gum ball machine and working rocket ride. There's too much to say. Add the 2nd floor town house with a bed and floral accents, and it takes it to another level. This had a lot packed into a decent sized set and great color usage especially with the light blue on the 2nd floor. I recently bought the bigger set to this (pet shop/cafe) and cannot wait to build and expand my lego city. If you're into the creator series or building a city, this set is a must!

Surprisingly Detailed

As some of the other reviewers have noted, the images for this set don't really do it justice. There are a lot of cute additions and thoughtful touches.
I especially love the moving space ship that comes with the shop. It's amazing how the build creates a movement for the ship that really mimics the coin rides that used to be so prevalent.
I bought this for my boyfriend who is an experienced builder, but this set is versatile and I think it's well suited for both advanced builders and children. It's well suited for play, but was not too simple or boring to put together.
Honestly, we have this set along with a 3-in-1 set across the street from the Boutique Hotel and it doesn't look out of place in the least.

Very nice details

I've been a fan of these smaller townhouse builds since they came out. The facades are more colorful than the larger modular buildings. The buildings look more playful and fun. My favorites are the ones that are hinged, so that when you close it, you have a complete building with no open back. I was disappointed to see that this one is not in that style. So while I enjoyed the build and like how it came out, I cannot give it 5 stars because it is just short of being really special. As an adult collector who buys only buildings, I really wish complete buildings with closed backs would become the standard, especially on these townhouses, where we now have some with and some without, no consistency.

Great price for a Great Set!

This set is a wonderful addition to any LEGO cityscape and commands a high price to piece ratio that has become indicative of the LEGO creator line. These sets are a great lower-cost alternative to LEGO modular whilst retaining the excellent detailing.

Wonderful value and build

The creator town house toy store is truly a wonderful building with its beautiful medium azure color and interesting shapes. The most impressive thing is the way that the designer integrated various textures in a very ordinary way with ordinary parts to make a building that is all but ordinary. I definitely recommend this set as a play place, a display piece or an addition to a city.
