Great details and gorgeous!

I love how detailed it is, and how gorgeous the complete build is. Would love to see more regarding the cherry blossom trees and Mt. Fuji Lego set!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice memento, but pricey.

I bought this as I lived in Tokyo once. It was a fun little set to build and brought back a lot of memories. Pretty expensive though especially when it's sitting next to the orchid that was $10 cheaper. Seems like a good gift for anyone that visited or lived in Tokyo even if they aren't a Lego person.

Detail-packed and adorable

As someone who has visited Japan, speaks the language, and is a fan of most things Japanese, I immediately picked up this set and it doesn't disappoint. I love all the little details from the neon lights of Shibuya crossing, to the Sensoji temple, and even the brand new Tokyo Sky Tree! So many unique pieces and colors, which might make it a bit challenging for younger fans of LEGO (especially all of the different colors for Shibuya crossing), but honestly this would make a wonderful display piece for anyone. And for anyone who doesn't know what the various landmarks are, the build guide actually explains them all. Highly recommended!

One of the most unique in the Skylines series
on January 28, 2021

I absolutely love this addition to the collection. It's by far one of the most unique, detailed, and eye-catching. It's especially overdue since Tokyo hasn't had any attention in the 10+ years of Lego Architecture.
All the details are great: the Tokyo Tower, the cherry blossoms, the pagoda, and of course Mt. Fuji in the background.
The only complaint that I have is that the antenna - from the base - of the Tokyo Tower falls off very easy. I've double-checked my build and can't find anything I'm missing. Just seems like a flimsy design, but it's good it breaks off in a large chunk so it won't get lost.
Overall great set and I'm really excited to see what other great skylines Lego comes up with next.

Love the set... except

The set is beautifully made and I am very excited to take it back to my classroom (when it reopens) and have my students learn about the buildings! My only complaint is that the top of the red and white tower is constantly popping off! No matter what I do it does not stay on!

Thanks for your review. If something ever seems like it's not very sturdy, the best thing to do is double-check your build. Sometimes there may be a piece just a little off from where it should be, which can cause instability. You’ll also want to make sure that all the pieces are pressed tightly together.

If you'd like a hand troubleshooting the build, or if you find that any pieces aren't holding together as they should, feel free to give us a shout at LEGO.build/Service-BV.

Colorful and Exciting
on October 5, 2020

I love this set. It is so fun and detailed, bringing a great amount of colors, wonderful buildings and techniques used, and excitement whenever I look at it. I thoroughly enjoyed the build, and I am very happy with the standard no-stickers within the architecture line. Though pagoda and gate behind the two cherry blossom trees are not named, I feel they add more detail and interest than trying to make them fully-fledged; they add to the display without taking away from the other pieces. The set is fun to look at I feel (though I have never been to Tokyo, and may be speaking out of turn) that the set is very representative of Tokyo.

Didn’t represent buildings well
on April 16, 2020

I have love all architecture products so far except this one. I feel the pieces don’t represent the building well. It seems like It uses random pieces just to make up a building. I’m very disappointed with this product.

We're sorry to hear that you were disappointed in your LEGO® Architecture set. Our Architecture theme features stylized versions of the world's most iconic buildings, making for sleek pieces that are great to display on a desk or shelf. Our designers always love to find creative ways to show off our existing pieces, and the Architecture line is a testament to how the smallest pieces can represent the greatest buildings.
