The handle fits snug in your hand either in the shower where I did not have a problem gripping it wet. The motor is powerful and the battery is long lasting.This was my 1st time ever using an electric shaver.So being inexperienced it took me about 20 min in the shower, using shaving cream to shave my 3 day old beard. It takes a lot longer than using a regular razor. I don't mind the extra time shaving because I really enjoy using this Braun Series 3-3040. The shaver is lightweight and comfortable in your hand. When hitting my chin and nose area, the shaver responded with ease and not one hair was pulled thanks to their Triple Action FreeFloat System.The model was designed for use in the shower, so as expected, it excels when used for wet shaving. Guys who shave daily will have no trouble maintaining smooth skin with this razor. Those who shave a day here and there can also get good results with the razor, but one should expect a lengthier process.My 3 day beard to multiple passed across the thicker parts of my beard. All in all this works pretty good and I have put down my disposable razor for good for this shaver. As time goes by and my experience and speed will pick up , I'm sure I will get my shaves down to under 5 minutes. Thank You Braun for the FREE Shaver

Best updated versatile razor to date

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free from Braun to review. Right from opening up the package, I liked the way the razor looked. I'm a fan of lighter, bolder colors, so this turquoise razor was very nice. I'm an "on-the-go" person, so being able to shave at the sink, dry or even in the shower was very versatile. I've used braun products before and was currently using a 4 year old razor and was replacing the heads and shaving coils each year. I noticed I had to go over and over trouble spots, especially my neck to shave. The 3040 series definitely is cutting back on how many times I needed to go over the same area. I've only used this for a few days, and will update if I notice any changes. Very good product.

Sad disappointment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to have received this shaver from Braun. I am a busy individual who is always looking to save time in the morning. I also have very sensative skin. Braun is a brand with a strong reputation for innovative products and my expectations were sadly not met with this product. The shaver does not provide a close consistent shave. It does not cut the hair consistently, forcing me to go over the same spot several times which causes major irritation. I have a 10+ year old Norelco Cool Skin electric shaver in which the blades have never been changed, that produces a closer shave. I ended up cleaning up my face with my old shaver because there were so many stray hairs remaining. The shaver left my face blotchy and red with random patches of hair.

Decent for a asian dude

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a asian dude which means unfortunately I'm not able to grow a full beard. This shaver is perfect for my slight mustache and laziness. I like to keep my face smooth and hairless so a quick shave with this Braun is all I need. I don't have to worry about shaving cream or gel. It gives me a nice clean shave without the "5 o'clock shadow". It's a decent buy for the price.

Braun close but not perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So i recieved my braun series 3 shaver today thanks to braun and bzz agent as a promotional. Its a good shaver, for a quick shave or touch up. But it just dont get it all. I found that no matter how hard i tried there were certain spots that it just left hair behind. I much prefer my 5 blade razor. But will use this as a quick touch up.

Smooth shaver

Whether I'm using dry or in the shower, the shave is amazing and leaves my face smooth. Also very easy to clean and charges quickly.

Continued happiness

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using this Razer for a month or so I can say I continue to be happy with it. I am still disappointed that there aren't any atachments for the head for a trimmer. I have come to love the slide up edge trimmer. It gets way closer that my current razor does and the waterproof design is very helpful for cleaning. The razor is gentle enough on the skin that bit does not cause any irratation or ingrown hairs. Until they come out with a head for trimming , I will just continue to use the Braun for cleaning up around the edges.

It's a good razor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this razor free from Braun to try out and I was impressed with the product. It did not cut my skin and it gave a nice close shave. I never tried a Braun series razor before but I was impressed and it did not damage my skin like other razors I have tried before.
