[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thankfully didn't pay for this product; received the product for free from Braun. I was really looking forward to this product but it let me down. I had never used a Braun shaver and don't think I will after this. The shave was just not comfortable. I previously and currently own a Philips Norelco shaver and those both low-end and high-end have had a much more comfortable shave than this. The charge time is great however I'd rather have a slower charge and more comfortable shave.

Great shave after a few passes, good for those on the go

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am your typical "hate to shave", "let your facial go for a few days" kinda guy and I got this product free from Braun to try. The packaging it came in was pretty appealing, but there was not much more in the box than the electric shaver and a small brush to clean it. The first thing I noticed was how great it looked and how nice the grip was on this thing, it's a really well made shaver, has a little weight to it, and fits well in my hand. You can definitely tell that is designed to work in a wet or a dry setting. I let the shaver fully charge, and I quickly noticed that it cannot run while it is plugged into the wall; you must first unplug it for it to turn on.
Once on, it's got a typical electric loud buzz, but not overly loud. I quickly started using it to remove my few days old stubble and scruff, with my face being dry. The first pass of the foil over the hair, it got a lot of it, but it definitely required a few more times at different angles to get all of it down to "the nil." I have pretty soft skin, and it felt pretty smooth after a few passes with this thing. I wouldn't say that this was as a good of a shave as a razor blade, but it did a pretty good job. I plan on trying to using it with shaving cream and a more wet face to see if that gets the shave even closer.
I used the detail trimmer on the side of the shaver to trim up my side burns and it seemed to do the trick just fine. It works like you'd hope it would.
It's also very easy to clean, you can run it under water and it will clean up pretty well.
This thing seems perfect for someone like me who wants a quick shave to clean up their facial hair, or for someone on the go. Braun has done a great job with a sleek design foil shaver, that serves a multi-purpose. I'll be using it every few days.

I am in the military so I have to shave daily and this thing comes in handy if I am running late to work or when I am in the field. It surprisingly has an extremely close shave. Braun did an amazing job with this product and I recommend it to everyone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this is a great Electric Shaver. I was to excited to be part of this campaign. After receiving the shaver I was happy to find it charged and ready to use straight out of the box. After giving it a try I was pleasantly surprised on how good it worked. I did have to go over a few spots twice but after I was done my face felt really smooth just about as smooth as a manual razor. It was nice that it didn't snag my hair or irritate my skin which other electric razors have done in the past. It also has a nice little trimmer on the back for sideburns and stuff. The charge lasts about a week depending on how often you are using it witch I thought was great. It's also very easy to clean just pop the head of the razor off and brush it with the brush they sent in the box it only takes a couple minutes. Overall this is a great Electric Razor by Braun. I would highly recommend it.

Solid razor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall its a great razor for both using it in the shower and while having a wet and dry face. However the one thing I wasn't impressed with was the fact that it took several times to remove hairs from certain areas. I will however continue to use it frequently as I prefer this over a non electric razor. I was in fact looking for an electric one soon. Even though I had to go over certain areas several times there was no razor burn like with some other shavers
I'd want to know how other people faired with this same razor such as how it worked and reviews of the product itself.

day two of shaving

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second day of shaving with the Braun® Series 3-3040. Wow what a great shave. I accidentally dropped in to the sink and got it soaked with water it still worked. They don't call it a wet dry shaver for nothing. I dried it of real quick because I am so used to ruining razors so it was more of a reaction. I still got a real close shave. This is one epic shaver. Who needs manual shavers, getting cut, using shaving cream. I recommend this

nice smooth shave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product for free from to try out. Out of the box the shaver was very durable and clean and grip surface is good in the hand. My shave was painless and it worked just as well as the typical razor. This was a great way to take a shave, I could actually see where I was shaving. The shaving process itself with the foil razor was really fast. When I took the extra time with the razor, it did leave my face feeling smooth and without stubble. I hope to be using this shaver for many happy years!
