Simple functional elegance at its peak

Initially I didn't expect much from a great your own space bag, but the amount of organization is shockingly good, a place for literally everything.
One thing to note is that the design is sleek yet minimal, this might not appealing to some, but the simple aethesetic is good for both professional and casual settings.

Really nice

My wife loves her backpack. The bone color is good, a little harder to keep clean but it's very nice looking and subtly feminine. I have the original 30L EDB and while I really like the buckle design the new zip top is a bit cleaner.

Excellent product and service

I purchased the black 15L zip via an authorized retailer but the backpack didn't come with the advertised key tether. Leo was quick to respond to my concern and sent out a replacement for me the next day. Overall experience with customer service was smooth and delightful. Always love a company that strives for customer service excellence.
This is my first camera bag. The bag is packed with pockets and compartments, and built with high quality and durable material. The design is excellent as well. I particularly enjoy the rotatable backpack shoulder straps and the customizable dividers; everyone is different so it is important that your everyday carry fits your needs.
Although I thoroughly enjoy using the backpack, I did think it was too pricey. With that said, it is an excellent product that's backed by a team of people that care. I would recommend their products to anyone looking for reliable protection for their gear.

Great bag but can be better

A very good bag, but would like to see the following as well:
1) some easy access pockets on the shoulder straps
2) The inner packets with magnet probably need two magnets to avoid stuff fall out easily
3) Waist strap...
4) The sides should be opened the opposite side. This is a very common problem for most of the bags in the market though... If we need to open the side flip with the backpack on one shoulder, the zip will be outward facing and the flip is opened by flipping it close to the body. This make actual access to the inner pockets difficult (coz it is 180 degree below your head, you won't be able to see the contents), and make switching gear in the pass through difficult as well (coz you need to hold the flip by one arm). I think if the sewed side in attached to the other side problem should be all gone.

Great Bag for Multiple Uses

I purchased this bag for my boyfriend. After using it for a month, he loves it. It's comfortable, functional and stylish. He uses it on work trips and to carry his many card boxes on game nights - this bag is excellent for everyday use!

A welcome update

Having used the original Peak Design Everyday Backpack, this new zip variant is a much improved alternative to its brother. With more internal space and a more ergonomic shape, this wins hands down. A variety of access options fixes many of the gripes that I had with the original (a tad too stiff for my liking, internal space was very quickly occupied due to the side pocket organizers, and the rough exterior. I am hard pressed to recommend any other bag over this when it comes to an well organized everyday backpack.

Zip Love
on March 9, 2020

Switched from the EDBv1 to the ED Zip for my err'day work backpack (work stuff - no camera stuff).
Winning
-Comparing 20L v1 (EDB) to the 20L (EDB Zip), the Zip “feels” a little roomier simply because the top section of the bag is formed w/out having to expand the MagLatch on the v1. I rarely needed the extra expansion on the v1 so the Zip is adequate+ to store my usual top shelf items (PD field pouch + small notebook)
- Being able to keep my bag open at the top is something I didn't realize I missed so the Zip is a win for me here.
- Zip feels lighter - not placebo. I can load everything from my v1 into the Zip and for whatever reason, it feels better on my little 5'2” frame.
- No hair pulling! Not sure if its the material or where the bag sits. V1 yanked Zip does not.
- Roomier side pockets!
Wishing
- Mag straps had been incorporated into the bag - would have tightened a tight bag
- Curious about v2 fabric - I find that where there's a magnet, there appears to be wear. It's as though the magnet rubs its shape through the fabric
- I have found that I missing having at least one full zip inside panel for things like toothbrush+paste that I'd prefer to be out of sight, but from a design standpoint, I get it. Besides..which side would get the zip flap?
While overall I give this bag a 4+, I give the PD team customer service a 5+. We had to interact through a series of odd events and they were extremely responsive throughout!
