Perfect Backpack
on April 4, 2021

I immediately fell in love with the design just by looking at it but seeing it in person it's even better. I house my Slr Dslr and my point and shoot plus an additional lens(keep in mind each of my cameras already has a lens attached) and two tripods my iPad plus all my cables memory cards USB adapters ext. (I carry a lot) but everything fits perfectly and the pack still looks nice and sleek

Smaller than expected but still great

Let me say that I love the style of this bag and the smaller size, but it's just a little too small for a MacBook Pro + iPad Air with keyboard case. The two devices do not fit in the back slot, only one of them does, so you need to put the other in the main compartment. To do this, you are quite limited in “shelf” space. I will definitely use it when I'm only carrying one device, but doesn't work for both. The bag is completely fabulous in every way, especially with the side pockets, just needs a little more room for both devices in the back to 100% perfect.

Super Flexible Grab, Wish for 30L Option
on March 27, 2021

Incredible bag overall! Holds Sony a7, with 16-35, 85, and 70-200, phone, charger, MacBook with space for snacks, water bottle, and extra layer for an adventure. The shoulder straps are incredible and holds the weight equally on your whole back. I've done a few long hikes 10+ miles without any shoulder strain using the gear above (minus laptop).
I only have three changes that I would make on it.
1. 30L Option: If the Everyday Zip came in a 30L or was a little bit longer to hold just a bit more in the top compartment after filling the bottom with gear. The zip cranks down on the items in the upper area so you don't have as much room as it looks once you begin closing the bag.
2. Side Zipper Rubbing: The side zips hit my lower back/upper hips when fully secured, and it rubs just the wrong way when hiking or doing a long walk. They dig into your skin just a little too much if they could be angled away from the body or if the bag was just a bit wider. Another argument for a 30L.
3. Strap Secure: I'm constantly tightening the right strap, especially when loaded up with all the gear listed, which can be expected when carrying a overload. The Everyday Sling had a nice strap secure feature, which would be good addition to have the straps slide down less or if there was a way to make the straps have a bit more friction instead of gliding so smoothly.
Overall, awesome bag, 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
P.S. Tan option for more of your gear would be rad!

Great Bag but needs a little more
on March 15, 2021

Let me start off by saying the customer service that PD has is impeccable! They are extremely helpful and I could not be anymore grateful for them. Believe it or not, it is a HUGE huge reason when shopping their gear. It is a major factor.
I have spent countless days trying to find the perfect camera bag. It came to a point where I just did not believe it existed. I was looking for the perfect mixture of great and minimal design, along with durability as well as a bag that can do both everyday activities and for my camera gear. Finally, I found this.
This bag offers a great amount of places to put your gear. I am able to carry the following-
Sony A7II with a lens attached
35mm and 85mm
Mavic Air 2 with the remote, and three batteries
GoPro with all of my main attachments
A various amount of camera gear, like filters, spare batteries, remote etc
Of course, I still have more room for other things.
When doing this, nothing is crammed and everything is easy to get to with no issues. I am not a huge fan of onl side access but it works well and the zippers are strong! The bag is also super comfortable (im 5'8 155lb)
However, there are some things I wish PD added to this bag. I wish there was at least one more zipper on the outside of this bag for easy access. I also would like the pockets inside to be much larger on the side flaps. Thirdly, it would be nice if PD released a bag that had the option to open the WHOLE bag (like the travel backpack), then it would be perfect!

Been using Peak Design products for a while now. All my bags and cases are theirs. This one doesn't disappoint. I can carry two Sony full frames each with a lens connected - including the large 100-400m plus other stuff. Very satisfied.

Great Everyday Telephoto Carry (Zip 20l)
on February 9, 2021

My other bags are Goruck and Mystery Ranch because I do a lot of outdoors work, but for all other everyday, highly accessible, carry of my long telephoto and mirrorless body, the Zip 20l does extremely well. Maybe not as well (over)built as those bags, but those bags are a lot more expensive and made for extreme carry in extreme conditions.
I use it to carry my Nikon Z6 with 70-300 supertelephoto for daily birding photography in it for extremely quick access. So far the zips work extremely well, they are smooth and fast, even after half a year of carry. It's very easy to spot a subject, sweep the backpack around, unzip, and be shooting in seconds, something I really wanted in a daily camera bag. The camera slips right into the bag and it is very discreet.
I wouldn't recommend loading a lot of weight into it (my camera, 12.9" iPad Pro, my Nikon Monarch binoculars, and a jacket make the Zip 20l packed and very heavy) because the straps are pretty thin, but they aren't at all uncomfortable for short walks on public transit or by car. I think I'm spoiled by the excellent straps of Goruck and Mystery Ranch, however.
The black colorway does get dirty very easily outside of the city, but I didn't buy it for that. I would recommend this backpack.

Awesome everyday backpack zip 15l
on February 9, 2021

I simply love my everyday backpack zip 15l. It's the perfect size for my Sony gear and the comfort is fab. I have severe arthritis and find the ease of using this bag with the way the straps on the harness work, the fantastic zippers as well as the layout of the bag really suits my needs. So glad I made the switch to Peak Design.

Bought the 15L. Only flaw is that there is no space for both laptop and tablet.
It's a practical, light, easy to access and sturdy bag, perfect for photographers or weekend escapes.
