Zip Love

Switched from the EDBv1 to the ED Zip for my err'day work backpack (work stuff - no camera stuff).
Winning -Comparing 20L v1 (EDB) to the 20L (EDB Zip), the Zip “feels” a little roomier simply because the top section of the bag is formed w/out having to expand the MagLatch on the v1. I rarely needed the extra expansion on the v1 so the Zip is adequate+ to store my usual top shelf items (PD field pouch + small notebook) - Being able to keep my bag open at the top is something I didn't realize I missed so the Zip is a win for me here. - Zip feels lighter - not placebo. I can load everything from my v1 into the Zip and for whatever reason, it feels better on my little 5'2” frame. - No hair pulling! Not sure if its the material or where the bag sits. V1 yanked Zip does not. - Roomier side pockets!
Wishing - Mag straps had been incorporated into the bag - would have tightened a tight bag - Curious about v2 fabric - I find that where there's a magnet, there appears to be wear. It's as though the magnet rubs its shape through the fabric - I have found that I missing having at least one full zip inside panel for things like toothbrush+paste that I'd prefer to be out of sight, but from a design standpoint, I get it. Besides..which side would get the zip flap?
While overall I give this bag a 4+, I give the PD team customer service a 5+. We had to interact through a series of odd events and they were extremely responsive throughout!
I ordered the 20L version, it replaces my old Wisport Sparrow 20L. When I tried it on, it seems bigger than my old 20L pack, this may due to its rigid shape. It carries camera gear perfectly, and distribute weight nicely. The build quality is very robust, the only thin I don't like is the sternum strap, it would be better is it has a quick attach/release buckle. And it comes loss quite easily. All and all, I like this backpack very much
Previous owner of an Everyday Backpack 20l I opted for a Zip 20l as a replacement. Incredibly, I have the feeling the finish quality has gone up a notch: the zips feel incredible, the outer fabric also (and weather resistance is just perfect). The inside of the Zip is perfect for my use (with a mirrorless body and a couple lenses). Overall the bag also feels lighter than the Everday Backpack, even though it's actually only 150gr down. Having the possibility to remove all extra straps (sternum, keys, additional carry) is also a plus for me, since I only use one, in order to shave weight. The Zip is not a cheaper version of the Everyday, or at least it doesn't feel that way, which means the product is a success!
College student here, I was looking for a bag with decent space. This bag really delivers. I've included pictures of some of the things I carry every day and trust me, you can put in a lot more. It's a little hard to convey with pictures, but you can easily add a pair of headphones to what is already included (for your average student, I think this is a perfect size). The hidden pockets are a great addition and I love the minimalism of the bag. I can't say much about the durability of the bag just yet (as I just got it today), but first impressions are great so far. The zippers are great quality, the fabric seems pretty solid and strong. Maybe I'll give an update after several months of use, but for the moment I'm quite happy with the purchase
This is a great backpack, holds my 13" laptop, iPad, phone, chargers, water bottle, wallet, sunglasses and room for more! Took it with me as my "personal item" for an international trip and it worked perfectly I have owned several backpacks in the past but this is by far my favorite. The quality is simply amazing, the pockets are positioned perfectly and the size is great. I HIGHLY recommend this brand for anyone looking for a good quality backpack
The Everyday Backpack Zip is a perfect companion to the Travel Backpack. It's also perfect on its own. The design and high-quality materials make it very attractive and functional (like everything else Peak Design produces). I have the 15L in ash. It's gorgeous. It was a great day bag during my recent vacation, and I use it daily to haul my workout gear. I appreciate the very thoughtful design details with the simple and streamlined appearance, internal pockets and dividers, magnetic closures, cinch straps and unique zip system – a lot of features that sacrifice nothing to achieve excellence. It's durable and seems like it'll stand the test of time. But if not, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.
PERFECT, PERFECT, BAG, WITH ONE TEENY TINY ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT

This bag is beyond excellent. The zippers operate smoothly and quickly, while not getting stuck or hesitant. The black color is sleek and stealth, love it. The inner compartment is large with plenty of pockets and sufficient padding for camera carry. I love the laptop and tablet sleeve entrance along with the added storage there. The magnetic closures for the side water bottle pockets are a nice touch, as well as the magnetic attachment in the back (luggage handle pass-through). My only, teeny tiny complaint is that there are no outer pockets, which I greatly appreciate in terms of security, however, I found myself wishing there was one - it could even have a tab zipper for securing it to another zipper - an ideal spot for this pocket would be on the front towards the bottom. It would also be cool if this bag got the hidden side zipper pockets of the Travel Backpack - I use those all the time. This bag still deserves 5 stars and I'd buy it again even without improvements.
You guys create the best bags i have ever used! I owned several bags from Peak Design and every one of them is great! From the build quality to the usuage, and v2 is even better!
