So light weight! We love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got the Stovetop Sear and Cook Slow Cooker last week and could not believe how incredibly light weight the entire appliance was. Our old slow cooker is so heavy because of the ceramic insert. We have used it twice so far, it works like a dream, and is so easy to use and clean. We browned a roast on the stove top in the metal insert and then placed it in the slow cooker to finish. The insert is deep enough to keep any splatters from the searing off of the stove top and there was only one pot to clean when we finished. The cord could be about 6 inches longer and I would prefer that all 4 feet, that rest on the counter, were rubber. The front two feet are rubber, but the back two seem to be hard plastic, which makes the unit slide when you try to use the buttons on the front panel to program the time. I would definitely recommend this slow cooker to friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best part... no heavy stoneware! The removable nonstick metal is light weight and easy to clean. Brown on the stove then lift into the base to slow cook. And love the mix and match flexible programming

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This slow cooker saves time and the amount of dirty dishes, with its great feature of being able to sear the meat in it on the stove before placing in slow cooker base. The only thing I would change is for it to be fully programmable.

The timer is wonderful and love the different temperature settings, but my favorite feature of all is the fact that you can use it to sear your meat before slow cooking. No more dirty pans on slow cooker night. Thank you Hamilton Beach!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new slow cooker has so many improvements over my older HB slow cooker! The old insert pan was so heavy. This aluminum pan is much lighter and can be used on the stove top to brown meat-BIG improvement. It's even oven safe! And the touch pad for time and temp. is so much easier to use than the old one. One complaint to H.B. - the cord is too short (in fact, I think it's shorter than my old slow cooker). Please make the cord longer.

I had stopped browning and searing food because I didn’t want to get another pan dirty. Call me lazy but I found it wasn’t worth the effort.
Now, you have made it possible to do. I made a pot roast and it is the first time I have browned one in a long time. I forgot what an important step that was. The roast was so moist and tender that I will never not sear again. Thanks for making it possible to do in one pan and one mess.
The clean up was so simple and the weight of the insert is nothing compared to my old crock pot.
You have a winner here and I would recommend it to all.

Great slow cooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this about one week ago and started using it immediately. First I used the stovetop searing medthod it work out perfectly. Next I used just the slow cooker and again it work perfectly. I have three stand alone cooker, on muilt-pot type and this one of all the types I like this best. It works just as Hamilton Beach said it should. If I needed to purchase another cooke this would be the one.
