Great Coffe Urn

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for a family get together we were having. I loved it made the coffee very fast and kept it warm. As long as it stays plugged in it will heat the coffee. The cord is not detachable. Can use paper or basket type filter. I have a very big family so it was great. I would highly recommend it. It is very easy to use and to clean. Only con on this is that you cant forget about turning it off when done as it doesn't have auto cut off other than that its great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Why I havent gotten one of these long ago. The calcium in the water here clogs the new coffee pots within a few months. Even after cleaning them they still don't last, I've been through 6.5 coffee makers in the past year. This is just like the one my father has which after 34 years still works. I drink about three 12 cup coffee carafes every day. I can now look forward to enjoying coffee all day as it holds so much. The sound of it brewing has brought back many memories of my dad making coffee for the coin club , along with donuts to dunk. Thank you Hamilton Beach for the trip back to the past and the future memories this coffee maker will bring.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Makes a nice amount of coffee. Easy to use. Coffee stayed nice and hot. I do not recommend using a flattened paper coffee filter because the water does not filter through correctly. Overall a nice product.
