LONG WAIT

It took 11 months to deliver this refrigerator. Wrapped in blue plastic that is very difficult to remove completely since it is stuck behind framework. Only light is in the lower section making it difficult to see what is in freezer. Seems to run a long time before shutting off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You can use a razor blade to score the blue plastic film around the edges so you can remove it, then we suggest removing the rest of the film with tweezers. Also, we offer many top freezer models that don't feature an interior light in the freezer compartment. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
You are correct about the longer run time. New refrigerators do run for longer periods of time than older models but are much more energy efficient. Current refrigerator compressors are designed to run more than 80% to 90% of the time.

The color was just perfect. Love the door feature that holds gallons of milk and 2 liter soda bottles. I did not find this refrigerator noisy at all as some reviewers have stated.

I am super happy with what I purchased. I would recommend this to anyone that does not have a super big family. Two/three people would be able to use this refrigerator no problem. I’m sure people would be happy with this purchase as I am.

Downsized from 20 cu ft, but have plenty of space

Top Mounted Refrigerators in Bisque are hard to find in stock at this time. But, our local dealer had this 17.5 Cu. Ft unit available and we ordered this unit sight unseen; although I had done some research on the web. Installation was done the next week.. We actually wanted a 20 cubic ft refrigerator like our old one, but didn't want to wait for them to become available. However, even though this new GE unit is smaller, with the doors holding all our milk, creamers, water bottles, etc; this leaves the shelves available for everything else. Actually, this is a better use of available space than what we had previously. So we are pleasantly surprised at the space available. Might not be enough for a family of four, but with the 2 of us; this unit has met our expectations. One little downside, seems a bit noisier than our old unit; but it is not intrusive.
I would recommend this to a friend!
