This unit is very loud while operating. It sounds poorly constructed. My butter dish will not fit in the compartment. I had a similar GE model that this replaced. In eight years, GE's quality has gone down substantially.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

As expected as previously had same brand. This newer model had bottom shelf too low so could not get a water pitcher in easily. Freezer was not even in the back so could not put as much in.
I would recommend this to a friend!
