Issues with the freezer not working!

I had to return my first unit as the freezer would randomly start rising in temperature. Now the replacement unit is doing the same thing!
There seems to be a correlation between opening/closing the fridge door and the freezer temperature rising above save temperatures (41 degrees!). I've even tried pushing on the freezer door each time I close the fridge door, just to ensure there is a nice seal. It still happens. Not always, but every couple of days the freezer starts racing in temperature.
The problem (if the above ins't enough) is that the unit won't start cooling itself until the fridge portion reaches a certain temperature. So the freezer will just keep going up and up until the fridge is warm enough to kick in the cooling. This is incredibly frustrating for a 2 week old brand new appliance, which is already a replacement of an equally defective unit.

Good fridge

It’s ok the one thing I did not like was pulling off the plastic covering I am 79 and have arthritis in my hands and covering was very hard to remove

Nice large on inside but not to big

The products I purchased from GE run quietly are energy-efficient do not take up a lot of space in my small kitchen keeps thing at the temperature supposed to in the first fridge raider and the stove is very nice and so is the microwave
