Good Basic Refrigerator
on February 7, 2026

This is a basic refrigerator. I did not get mine with an ice maker, but you can add it. I did have the handles adjusted to the other side to work with my space. Overall after a few weeks, it seems like a nice item. Only negatives is that there is no light in the freezer, and only one light in the fridge itself. It also runs a bit louder than previous refrigerator.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We want to give you some information regarding the sound level of your refrigerator. Newer refrigerators sound different from older refrigerators. Modern refrigerators have more features and use newer technology. For a list of normal sounds, you can visit the following article: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=15901

If the sounds you are experiencing are not from normal operation, we recommend reaching out to our Bodewell service team at 1-833-426-3393 to schedule an appointment.

Went back to freezer on top

Much more room than my last refrigerator which had freezer on bottom. Good shelving, ice maker works great. Freezer on bottom always had issues, shelves got stuck, overheated in warm weather.

Replacement
on February 17, 2026

I needed to replace a fridge and I was glad I searched out a store that sold this GE. It has all features I wanted: two bottom storage areas, door shelves that can hold a lot of beverages, etc, glass shelves and ample room in freezer. Thanks for the warranty and entry ticket. This one cools and listed the amount of energy per year it saves on a card.

Keeps our food cold, but it is way too noisy.

We replaced our old GE refrigerator with this new one because the compressor was failing. The old one ran quietly, but the new one is much noisier. We can hear the fan blowing even when we are in the living room. We notice it most after it's been running and shuts off. The sudden quiet is very noticeable. I called the place we bought it from and told him about this and he told me that that's how the new ones run.

We include descriptions of the normal sounds you can expect to hear on page 19 of the Owner's Manual - https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--aaGiedxB--/655639008f6b7929eab555b41231e6b46a04df36.pdf. Also, newer refrigerators may sound different than older models due to updated technology and features. The compressor in a refrigerator is designed to run 80-90% of the time, which is more energy efficient than stopping and starting frequently, so you may hear it during normal operation.
