Freezer door does not seal

The refrigerator is nice looking and cools as it should. However, the freezer door flies open every time I close the refrigerator door. It does not seal at all and I had to put a baby lock on it. Also, both doors swing all the way around until they hit the counter, instead of stopping at 90 degrees.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We would like to clarify some information regarding this unit’s door stop and swing, as well as assist you with the door seal of the refrigerator compartment. First, we recommend ensuring that the unit is properly leveled. The leveling legs should be adjusted so that the front of the refrigerator is raised slightly, allowing the doors to close easily when opened about halfway. To adjust the height, turn the leveling legs clockwise to raise the refrigerator and counterclockwise to lower it.

Happy GE Refrigerator Owner

After only a few weeks, everything seems to be working well; doesn't run all the time like the old one. Capacity seems limited but a result of limited space for the refrigerator. Fits the space well, shelving is well positioned and easily adjustable.

Took several days to set at the optimal temperatures for both the freezer and the refrigerator. After the first week everything has been running great. A good buy for a backup refrigerator/freezer.

Runs all the time. Noisy. Has a hard time keeping temperature in both compartments. Had to turn it up one notch from recommended setting .Still does not get to normal temps on gauge. I dont like the single temperature control for both compartments. I had to order another shelf for freezer section from GE. Doesnt have a shelf for ice cube trays like old GE had. Also I dont like the hammered metal look on the sides. Good thing i got black. The white hammered metal would show the dirt.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

As far as the sounds, newer refrigerators sound different from older refrigerators. Modern refrigerators have more features and use newer technology. The new high efficiency compressor may run faster and
longer than your old refrigerator and you may hear a high-pitched hum
or pulsating sound while it is operating.
