Kind of small for a 5 person household, but it fits enough things I guess, and works well. My only gripe is that the freezer doesn't have a light in it that I can tell.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love my new GE refrigerator . Very quiet and it’s keeps everything so cold the outside is white and it is very attractive.

Only 28 inches wide but seems bigger. I replaced an old 30 inch wide which is my limit do to cabinet size with this 28 inch because I wanted the fridge to get air flow all the way around. I do not feel like I sacrificed much space inside the fridge. It appears well made with quality shelves. Excellent efficiency as well. Pretty quiet too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

this is a great unit~ large, glass shelves, deep pockets in the door. it's way more efficient than the 2000 model it replaced.
