It's HDD not SSD.

It's 512GB HDD, not SSD.
But it's repeatedly being marketed as SSD on BestBuy's website, on the box it says HDD.
According to Government of Canada:
"The misleading advertising and labelling provisions enforced by the Competition Bureau prohibit making any deceptive representations for the purpose of promoting a product or a business interest, and encourage the provision of sufficient information to allow consumers to make informed choices."
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the speed and metallic shell

I bought and returned a vivobook for this zenbook because the monitor of the vivobook pops after a few 180 degrees flipping for video calls. In comparison, the zenbook has a much solid feel when I open the lid. Bear in mind that the metallic shell is an excellent heat conductor and the bottom of the laptop heat up fast in just minutes of operation. The ethernet connector comes with the unit. I didn't find it difficult to use the touchpad as I use it as a mousepad most of the time.
I would recommend this to a friend!
