Good camera but lacking in controls

I purchased this to supplement a 16ch NVR to get camera where I couldn't run wires and still have the cameras in the same app. Unfortunately these cameras have few controls. No scheduling (for recording, push notifications, or siren triggering), no movement exclusion areas. There is not even a way to turn off push notifications from one camera so I either get every notification from all of these cameras (over 100 per day) and my NVR, or I get none from any camera on my system. With all the features on my NVR's cameras and my other Swann cameras, I am really surprised by this absence of controls.

Bad product

I bought this camera today and have spent about four hours trying to get it to work. Of those four hours, I spent 40 minutes on the online support and was eventually told to ring a 1800 number. After a very long time, my call was returned and I got the same person I had online. Again after about 40 minutes he said he wasn't able to help and that someone will call me tomorrow.
The camera is really erratic. Sometimes it records, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it identifies motion, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes I can access the 'Playback' function, sometimes I can't, sometimes it says it's online when it is, sometimes it says it's not online, but it is, sometimes it says it's not online, and it's not, and the list of erratic behaviour goes on.
Tomorrow I'm taking it back to the shop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just what we needed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 1080p alert indoor security camera is what every home needs at their front and back door. When I first got it I was nervous about setting it up. Sometimes when it comes to technology I can be bad with it. This was in my opinion pretty simple. It had clear instructions on what to do. I have two kids under 3 so it took me about 45 minutes because of all the interruptions from them. I loved that it was pretty clear and that you could speak through it. The night vision was by far my favorite part of it. It made nighttime callers at the door more safe feeling when you can glance at your phone. A great product that every home should have.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this to keep an eye on our pets that are in the house while we’re gone, to see who gets into the trash or who does something on the floor. It’s easy to set up and it was easy to use it’s nice having it on your phone and being able to take a look at it when you’re away from the house. Has a pretty clear picture so it makes it easy to see and it’s pretty wide angle so you can position it where you can see most of the area you want to look at. Definitely something great to have.

USELESS NOW

I bought this camera only 3 months ago unaware that they were turning on the 5g network no my camera is useless as it will no longer connect to the network being that it only connects on a 2.4ghz frequency and not the new 5ghz one not very happy even the brand new cameras out are still 2.4ghz :(

Makes me feel secure!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera came in handy when we were gone on vacation. I don't think that I would use this camera unless we were on vacation or gone for an extended period of time due to the fact that the when you use the app, it senses heat/movement and sends you alerts every time. When my dog was in the living room where the camera was, it unfortunately would go off constantly, you cannot "snooze" these alerts like you can on other security devices. I am very pleased that i had no issues with it syncing with my WIFI and the picture is very clear. I love the fact that it comes with an app as well, it's just unfortunate you cannot snooze the alerts. Therefore we will certainly use this again in the future while we are on vacations and know that there ISN'T supposed to be any movement sensed in the house. I likely will not use it when we are home however unless i am intentionally spying on my pre teen son!

Easy to use, clear picture

The app interface is super easy to use and the image is clear and has good audio. I like that it can notify me when it detects motion or noise. I am a big fan and am thinking about adding additional in my home.

Good Camera with proper connection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in a rural area and wanted a camera to keep an eye on things in the house. The instructions and installation were very easy. Everything paired up without an issue, and the app was easy to use and understand. The only time we encountered issues was with our internet connection. We use a satellite service which I would stay away from if you plan on using these or similar cameras that require internet access. This is no fault of the camera system. The only reason for 4 stars is because I wish there was a way to bypass requiring to use the internet and allow for a local wifi connection option (for devices connected to the same network). Overall, it is a good camera setup and I would recommend it!
