Toxic furniture

My husband and I were really excited about this furniture piece. When we opened the box the smell was off the charts toxic. Soon after, our eyes and throats started burning. We took it outside to off gas a bit. But only to read the box that said the furniture contained formaldehyde and lead?! We ended up throwing it away! We are middle aged and have bought lots of furniture in our lifetime. NEVER had this experience before. We checked on the website and it doesn’t disclose what chemicals are on the furniture. Only when you buy and are commited to a 150 lbs piece do you realize this. I understand most furniture and so forth is treated with chemicals these days. This, was next level though. Awful experience- Please beware.

Much Darker Hue for Natural Pine

I bought the dresser in Natural Pine but the color does not match the hue in the product images at all. The hue in the wood is much darker, closer to the caramel version. DO NOT BUY if you are expecting the light hues of natural pine that is shown in the photos.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
