It's not a gaming laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] And that is why I bought it. My old laptop a dell precision is getting old and is too much for me to carry with my bad back. The power brick for it alone weighs more than the shipping weight of this laptop. I saw the Gram on Linus Tech Tips and knew it was what I was looking for. It is the only one that had everything I need and nothing I don't. I don't play games or any heavy graphics so I don't need expensive power hungry GPU and other gaming features but I do need a 17" high res screen, full size backlit keyboard, ports that don't need dongles, a fast CPU, a lot of ram and fast storage in the smallest most rugged package I can get and this is the only one that met my all those needs. I tried speccing laptops from all the major brands and any that came close were twice the price. I am very happy. Business users like me that need the power and portability without resorting to a gaming rig or a mobile workstation and the gram is the only one I have found meeting that need. I have had it a day loading everything on it and it has been perfect.I don't know how they got so much in such a little case and how it is staying cool despite working it so hard with no fan or vents.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great size, weight and build quality. It desperately needs a dedicated GPU as the screen performance is horrifically slow for certain applications. Having a configuration with a dedicated GPU option would really make this unit an exceptional choice as I have not a single other complaint. Battery life is great, screen size and quality are great, processor and SSD are performant, its just the lack of a dedicated GPU that is an issue for me.
Pros: Style/Design, battery
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like the design and big screen with ok resolution WQXGA (not 4k) without touchscreen, great battery, but one year old processor i7 8th gen 8565u with just 4 cores and 8 threads and Intel uhd 620 for $1,799?
