Overall this is a practical and attractive combination. There are three features which I do not like: The oven has a cooling fan which runs continuously while baking and for up to one hour after baking is finished. It is noisy and blows hot air into the kitchen. The microwave fan continues to blow after cooking is finished until the door is opened. I like to set microwave cook time by minutes and seconds, not whole minutes.

Wow! I love these ovens. I cannot believe I did not buy this sooner. The small microwave convection oven at the top is a dream to have. It saves energy and is absolutely perfect for heating and cooking small meals for two people without having to heat up the big oven below. The small oven cooks very well and comes with all the accessories to make everything from pizza to casseroles. You can use it as a microwave as well, just by itself instead of the oven feature. The large lower oven is fast and powerful and seems to bake evenly but you have to turn some items around in the oven if you want perfect browning on the top. The convection fan is a bit noisy, and I had it replaced with another fan recently. The noise is better and still quite quiet for a convection oven compared to others I have had. The large glass windows are the best! They give a sophisticated look to the oven while still offering a great view inside. We get all kinds of compliments on this oven combination. I would definitely spend the money and get this combo oven rather than buy a separate microwave and use an ugly stainless insert to go with it.

We just purchased a home and replaced all of the appliances in our remodeled kitchen. I am very happy with our decision to replace these older units with KitchenAid. The quality is so very apparent and outstanding compared to other brands we considered. The Convection Combination Microwave Wall Oven is incredibly easy to use and program. The controls are instinctive, hence user friendly. (Not everyone has a 13 year old to figure these things out.) I was impressed by the sturdiness of the oven racks and the design feature that allows me to securely grip a hot rack with oven mitts. A home-made cheesecake is the ultimate test for accurate and even heating. These appliances look good in my kitchen.
