This is a nice laptop. My previous laptop was an x230, and while this one doesn't have as much of the thinkpad feel, it is working well and seems to help a lot with productivity.
It took some getting used to this bright high-contrast screen, but I now find it very nice. The anti-glare is a bit disappointing as I feel it generates maybe even more glare than my previous laptop (although now more of a blurry glare).
The size and weight are nice, and it really does seem to get 8-10 hours of battery life for normal use.
Very bad quality, disappointed. I bought it 3 weeks ago. The charge stopped charging a few days ago with no reason (we didn't do any damage to it. it looks as good as freshly out of the box). Now the laptop is literally dead lying on my book shelf because it can't be charged . Don't know who to contact.
The camera on the computer broke within a few weeks of purchase. I would have left the stars at 0 if possible. Am not getting help from your company. Looks like we will be weeks without a computer under the best scenario - even though we paid for extended coverage. Confusion seems to reign as well as lack of communication between your Sales Department who said we should be entitled to a new machine and your Service Department who cannot do anything for us. I get an email saying a new camera is being shipped - your service person (Andy) says we cannot do the replacement ourselves. Confusion reigns. Tried to speak to someone with any authority - told that might take up to 5 days! Incredible!

I bought this computer for school (T470p model) and here is my honest review:
Pros: -The non-gloss display is perfect for reading and is really clear. -The keyboard is by far the best you will get on any laptop (same goes from any thinkpad models). -Depending on your build, it's an overall fast and performing machine.
Cons: -Fan noise: this computer is one of the noisiest PC's I've ever seen. -Overheating: goes with the fan noise I guess, this PC can get pretty hot. (Never caused any serious issues though) -The biggest con of all: BATTERY LIFE. I got the bigger battery option in order to get what was supposed to be 12hrs of battery life. I swear this computer drains it's battery in an hour tops with moderate usage. I looked on online forums for solutions to this problem and it seems to be a recurring issues with thinkpads.
TL;DR: If you can stay near a wall plug, you'll be fine with this PC. In retrospect, I think for the same price I would've went for another option even though the keyboard is probably the best on the market.

Got a smoking deal on the 48gb ram model. Beautiful display. It runs linux like a champ. It has my last year xps beat hands down. No more dells for me. I did not receive any prizes or perks for my review like everyone else did.
Love this laptop, built like a tank! The only thing I don't love is the matte coating on the outside is hard to keep clean - almost any dirt or oil sticks right onto it. I'll have to invest in a cover!
