Wow! What an amazing food processor

I am very very very very excited for this food processor, I’ve been eyeballing, saving, and hitting my husband photos of this food processor!!! I got married 3 years ago and I don’t know why I haven’t pinned this to my wedding registry! At first I wanted the 7 cup... but then after watching over 10 videos of different types and sizes of the food processor, we decided to go bigger. I am So happy we choose this one! I’m mind blown how amazing it is, not only does it save you time, it saves your energy from cutting every veggie up, it’s so awesome! My husband and I first made salsa with this food processor and we were both very excited we assembled it together and put the ingredients together and even pulsed, giggling ☺️ we love our new food processor and can’t wait to make many many MANY more recipes! Seriously time saving!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

poorly made

I had a hamilton beach food processor for 25 years and it finally died. I have this for 2 years and barely use it as it smells like burning motor, the handle fell off after I dropped the lid, very noisy. I wish they would make appliances like thy used to. Poor product and i was expecting more from kitchen aid.

The Lid Toggle Broke so Easy
on September 10, 2020

I've had this for about 6 months and have used it a few times mostly to make cauliflower rice. Unfortunately after 1 month of use, the right toggle on the lid snapped off when I was simply attaching the lid back onto the bowl as directed in the user manual. At first, I thought that this was somehow user error and was able to still fasten this to the bowl. So I shrugged it off as my bad. But just recently I pulled the lid out of the dishwasher (top shelf) and saw that the other toggle has completely snapped off.
Clearly this is due to the quality of the plastic. At this point, I'm going to be forced to try and purchase a replacement lid after only 6 months of light use. I've been a Kitchen Aid fan for a while, and love my other kitchen aid products that have stood the test of time. It's just very sad that this product doesn't meet the same standards.

Better than the chopper!

Although one of my first KitchenAid countertop appliances was the 5 cup chopper, I always felt myself wanting to make more so...I purchased this beauty and have been using it almost every day since receiving it. So far, I have made hummus, soup blends, doughs, herbal remedies and more! It has been useful for so many different recipes and concoctions that I have been asking myself how I ever lived without!

Nice compact design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am reviewing this appliance that was shipped to be to try. I am a 72 year old Man that does all the cooking in my household of four
The Pros of this Food Processor is as follows:
Easy to assemble and take apart for cleaning
I liked the center oil port, it makes putting liquids in slowly a nice way to do that.
Locking the top latch is convenient and safe
Putting the Housing onto the base is easy
Nice size for using and storage, leaves more room on the counter when cooking
I really like the cord storage on the bottom, very convenient and well thought up
Nice compact design and light weight which is nice for someone older
The cons that I found I didn't like is as Follows:
Low speed is noisy and squeals and start slow then speeds up like pulses slow to low speed
High speed is also noisy and is not as high as the pulse and also starts slow then speeds up also like pulses slow then high
The pulse is very high speed and noisy
The center of the blades when taking them out of the processor are too small for a man's fingers to get out, not much to grab on to
The lower shaft comes off too easily while removing the upper blade, there should be some way to keep it from being removed while taking the upper blade out
Not too thrilled with the base design with the little buttons that hold the tub to the base, wonder how long before food or dirt will get these little ball stick into the socket thus stopping the base from holding onto the tub.
I don't understand why the pulse has a higher speed than the high speed
Over all it is a definite improvement over my Kitchen Aid Food Processor I bought many year ago. It's definitely lighter and seems to cut and work so much better than my older one. This Food processor really cuts vegetables better and I love how it dices onions and potatoes. The slicer blade makes quick work of slicing potatoes for fried potatoes. Overall, I believe this food processor is a keeper

Beautifully Engineered!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 9-cup food processor by Kitchen Aid is exquisitely designed and engineered. With just a couple of pointers to get started with it is all it takes to understand how to use it. It is terrific! One thing I might point out is that the proper cord storage method is to wrap the cord around the inside of the bottom of the food processor - (not wrapped around the outside base (as noted in the instruction manual).

Underpowered and flimsy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This food processor is OK for light usage - making a salad dressing, mayonnaise, pureeing a small amount of a thin soup - but it's not designed for any demanding tasks. The motor bogs down easily if you try to fill the bowl more than half full. The plastic which holds the clip on the lid broke after a few uses - cheap and poorly designed. If you use the grating discs, food will accumulate between the disc and the lid - another poor design. It does look nice on the countertop. That's about the only good thing I can say about it. As is often the case, you get what you pay for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
