Good Processor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this processor for processing a variety of vegetables and cheese. The slicing blades are very sharp and sliced raw carrots with ease. It grates cheese but struggled slightly grating sharp cheddar. overall worked well. Cleanup is better in dishwasher.

Small footprint and powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This food processor has a small footprint, but the multipurpose blade as well as the slicing discs are able to be stored inside the work bowl. This is amazing as I have an older model where none of the blades are able to be kept in the bowl, so I am always hunting around my cabinet for all of the discs. Some really positive attributes of this unit is that the working bowl just clicks into the base, no twisting required. The lid is actually hinged onto the unit and locks down, but it comes completely apart for cleaning. There is also a gasket in the lid so liquids do not come out. I really like that this unit locks together like this; my older unit has a long unlocking pin in the food pusher and it is hard to use when you have large pieces of veggies for slicing.
The first thing I made was pie crust with this unit, and it was very effective at slicing up the butter into the flour and held enough material to make 2 very oversized crusts (see picture). The unit comes apart easily for cleaning and everything can be stored back in the bowl. The whole drive unit comes out too so you won't have a blade falling out onto your hand.
There could be a limit to the size of material that can be fed into the unit since the tube is on the smaller end, but that just means you need to cut things up a bit before feeding it in. Something I found that wasn't entirely clear in the manual was on the storage of the blades in the working bowl. The manual doesn't explicitly say if you turn the disc to where the lines don't align they can be stored in the bowl.

Great Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product to test for free from KitchenAid. The product is designed nice and can be cleaned in the top shelf of the dishwasher which is great. It is quieter than other processors that I have used which is a plus. Most vegetables it sliced and chopped easily and has 2 separate sized slice options which I though was great. I also liked the size of the unit as it is slender and does not take up a lot of room on the counter.

Nice compact design

The Pros of this Food Processor is as follows:
Easy to assemble and take apart for cleaning
I liked the center oil port, it makes putting liquids in slowly a nice way to do that.
Locking the top latch is convenient and safe
Putting the Housing onto the base is easy
Nice size for using and storage, leaves more room on the counter when cooking
I really like the cord storage on the bottom, very convenient and well thought up
Nice compact design and light weight which is nice for someone older

The cons that I found I didn't like is as Follows:
Low speed is noisy and squeals and start slow then speeds up like pulses slow to low speed
High speed is also noisy and is not as high as the pulse and also starts slow then speeds up also like pulses slow then high
The pulse is very high speed and noisy
The center of the blades when taking them out of the processor are too small for a man's fingers to get out, not much to grab on to
The lower shaft comes off too easily while removing the upper blade, there should be some way to keep it from being removed while taking the upper blade out
Not too thrilled with the base design with the little buttons that hold the tub to the base, wonder how long before food or dirt will get these little ball stick into the socket thus stopping the base from holding onto the tub.

Over all it is a definite improvement over my Kitchen Aid Food Processor I bought many year ago. It's definitely lighter and seems to cut and work so much better than my older one. This Food processor really cuts vegetables better and I love how it dices onions and potatoes. The slicer blade makes quick work of slicing potatoes for fried potatoes. Overall, I believe this food processor is a keeper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this processor free to review. This is one of those “Why didn’t someone think of this before” products. The self storage solution is pure genius! Very easy to clean without numerous nooks and crannies to collect residue. Extremely easy to place and remove the bowl, no twisting and lids to have in place first. For my use the size is what I need and wish I had always had in place of my much larger processor. Very easy to reach buttons for those who have a bit of arthritis. The build quality is first rate and comes with all the blades needed to tackle 95% of what I use a processor for. This design is sure to be copied.

Slices well and easy to use

Only caveat is the myriad of pieces and getting the blade to lock in the right position was a bit cumbersome.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to try out several features of this food processor. I used the shredder attachment to shred carrots and cabbage for coleslaw. It was easy to get the knack of using the shoot to make uniform vegetables, although the information booklet was not entirely clear. I also used the regular blade to make a crust for a cream cheese raspberry pie and the dough turned out perfectly. Throughout my work, the motor was high pitched and loud but there was definitely enough power for all jobs. This food processor was more easy to use than my older, larger one. I liked that the pieces were dishwasher safe and that the blades had several purposes and stored right on the stem of the processor!
I would recommend this to a friend!
