Impossible to build!

My daughter received this as a Christmas present from her grandma and we have been waiting for some nice weather for her to play with it. Opened the box today to build it (I usually have no problems constructing items) and it is terrible to build. In fact I have given up and admitted defeat with trying to get the top to fit. The yellow bars do not just click in place no matter how hard I have pushed it and from all different angles. The pegs to secure the top to the base are also a nightmare - spent ages trying to get them to fit managed to get three in but the last one simply will not fit. I do not see how this will be safe for my daughter to use. Hugely disappointed in what I thought would be a lovely outdoor toy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this for my granddaughter for Xmas. It took a while to assemble. Some of it not that simple. Worth it in the end
