Great phone!

Everything is very clear and if you are looking for a phone to get your parents or grandparents, then I believe this is a great choice!

Great for seniors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Still have a land line in the house, for my mother to use. At 84, she definitely has reduced hearing and sight. I was glad I was able to snag this, for her to use; old phone one was not working properly. Sound quality is great! Nice large buttons. Lots of options with this. I still don't have it completely set up, lots of instructions to read! That's the only downside. I almost blocked

An amplified phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having a landline phone is so unpopular but I appreciate this old technology. This amplified cordless system is an interesting telephone. First it comes with everything necessary for various installations. Rechargeable Batteries help with power failure and useful when the handset is off the base for over several hours. Next there is a lengthy easy to follow quick guide. The setup is some time because this phone has so much to offer. The guide has over 100 pages of instructions. The phone also has a voice guide. The design of the device is easy to read and see. The sounds are standard. It has large operating buttons. And it includes countless features to operate the phone. The calls are very clear. However, one needs to have subscribe to services with a provider.

Great ideas, but the LED screen not working is a big issue

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted this phone to work. My dad has Alzheimer's and I thought the VTech Amplified Cordless Phone would be a great phone for my dad to use with the memory call buttons and picture call buttons. Everything started well. The phone charged and my dad understood how to use the memory buttons. This past weekend was daylight savings and I needed to check and change clocks at my dads. The LED screen on the handset showed the date three days ahead. When I tried to reset it the text on the screen did not display correctly. I could barely get it figured out with the lack of text showing up. Finally got it set. My dad called within a couple hours to tell me he didn't understand what the phone screen was saying. I went back and the date was again a couple days ahead and parts of the screen were missing. The screen could not be read at all. There are some great concepts about this phone but the LED screen not working was a big let down. I want to thank VTech and Influenster for the opportunity to try this phone in exchange for my review.

The auto dial buttons and the larger number buttons are a good feature. They are definitely helpful for users with vision issues or elderly folks who may have trouble remembering loved ones’ phone numbers. Would recommend.

Great for older people

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My mother in law is in her late 70's and this phone was perfect for her. The large buttons are perfect with someone who needs assistance with their vision.
The handset is a little wide but it is easy to hold. Since not very many people still have house phones it is good to see they are still developing technology for them.
