Not a great find

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, it is a cute little backpack... emphasis on little. Tablet or small (15" or less) laptop, notebook, power cord, water bottle, wallet, and it's full. The material is not very thick so if you put too much in it and try to zip it, the outside of the bag conforms to the shape of whatever is in it. The couple small pockets inside shown in the photo are convenient, but small. The zipper is real metal and not plastic so that's a bonus and does allow you to stuff it to capacity. My biggest complaint with this bag is there is no padding around the pocket where you would put a computer or tablet. This means that if you have too much in the bag, once you put it on your back your computer is stabbing you in the shoulder. It also means that you have to be careful not to put too much in the bag otherwise you are putting pressure on your computer since it is not protected by padding. It is a good thing I received this product free to review because I never would have purchased it in a store. I would expect much more, especially for the cost of a Samsonite product. This backpack is a fail in my opinion and is not something I will be hanging on to or continuing to use.

Love my new backpack! I have to do a lot of overnight trips for work and this backpack fits everything I need for 1-2 nights. I have a 16in MacBook Pro and it fits nice and snug in the laptop compartment but still leaves a ton of room for my clothing and other items. I also really like the style. Would definitely recommend!

I looked for months, I wanted a featherweight backpack, roomy enough to hold my stuff. (13.5" laptop, water bottle, umbrella, files, wallet, toiletry pouch, pen case, chargers) and look professional. It all fits perfectly and the way it opens up everything is easily accessible, no bottomless pit where you just want empty your bag on the street! I am so happy with my Samsonite backpack, it looks good and is comfortable to wear.

Measurements not exactly as advertised

I was hoping for a backpack that was stylish and on the smaller side. This one appeared to be what I was looking for. It just arrived, and it feels boxy and a bit big. Upon measuring with seamstress tape measure, the width from seam to seam is slightly bigger than advertised, and it even bulks out beyond that. In addition, the photo appeared to show a v-shape, but reality is that it is more squared (adding to the larger feel). Worst part, though, is that the straps do not allow for snug adjustments, and it forces the bag to hang uncomfortably low. Overall, this bag feels big and sloppy. I am disappointed with this purchase, particularly with the incorrectly-advertised measurements.

Simple backpack for just the essentials

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Samsonite Mobile Solution Essential Backpack in navy blue color and it looks simple and stylish. The backpack is lightweight and barely padded. On the exterior, there is just one zippered compartment. There are no side pockets or pouches. In the interior, there is a laptop sleeve that fits laptops unto 14.1" and tablets. On the other side, there is a zippered compartment and 2 slip pockets. As the name suggests, there is only space and compartments for just the essential items. The fabric of the bag is vinyl with a water resistant coating, that makes it easy to wipe clean. There is a sleeve in the back of the bag to attach the backpack to a luggage handle while traveling. The zippers and the strap buckles are in gold color that look classy. Overall, this is a great backpack for school or work if you only need to carry very few items. However, if you'll need to pack in a lot more items and need more pockets, it is better to look for a more padded and compartmentalized backpack.

I've never had one with so many compartments, so this is very useful when carrying my laptop, notebooks, pens and pencils, plus many more other things. I absolutely love the separation inside too (on both sides at that. Absolutely love this black with gold zippers This is perfect for weekend trips, to going to a friend's house needing to bring a few things, to long road trips and putting the essentials in this backpack to avoid carrying lots of luggage.

Essential Backpack is Lightweight and Very Spacious

However, I am very excited to start using it on both business or personal travel. I was very impressed when I opened up this backpack. The first thing I noticed right away are the beautiful, gold zippers. They are high quality and add a classy touch to the look of the backpack. Inside are spaces for laptops, tablets and a larger area for files or other items. The backpack is made of a light-weight waterproof fabric. A front-zip pocket offers easy access for items that should be readily-accessible.
