A very helpful Hp salesperson helped me choose this computer over the phone. It was easy to set up and so far, I am happy with it. I was surprised that this item came with a DVD writer as it is not listed in the specs.
The HP Pavilion works great, but the windows 11 should have never seen the light of day, it is not user friendly, not even close. I had to buy Microsoft 365 and that also should have never seen the light of day. It is just not good.
The instructions for setting up the tower could have been more helpful.....not terrible but could be improved upon. The start button on the PC is annoying; it is barely raised above the panel surface so it's not always clear by feel if you've turned it on.
The documentation for the new computer is not the same as what HP provided in the past. Even the online documents do not provide a detail motherboard document to name one item lacking. The setup and transfer from an old computer went okay. There is a problem with the hibernate mode in windows 11 and HP does not allow a complete access to the BIOS setup to see if the power is available to USB devices during the hibernate mode. Since I cannot get out of the hibernate mode with my USB keyboard or USB mouse, I have to turnoff the pc and then perform a re-start. HP is not the same as it was when I purchased desktops in the past.
I really like the fact that this one is a solid state 512GB, has a 2 TB storage hard drive, 16 GB of RAM, speaker connections on the back, DVD, and the ability to either use the VGA hook up or HDMI for the monitor. Just what I was looking for.
