It's working great! There are so many new functions that I have not had the time to explore them all. It's a work in progress but very user friendly. Lunine
Machine seems really fast. However, it has Windows 11 installed which means it drops internet connection frequently. Very annoying. Microsoft won't fix, but this isn't an HP problem.
Somewhat disappointed with this machine. As an Adobe Photoshop user, my 7 year old Dell did not have a compatible processor. This smaller footprint HP Pavilion was offered at a decent price and included more USB3 ports than my old Dell. Disappointments: 1) this unit is noticeably slower than the Dell, 2) the DVD drive is simply flimsy, 3) moving the 2TB SSD from the Dell to the HP will be painful as there are no power or com cables to install any type of drive, 4) not a HP problem, but Windows 11 has introduced what MS must consider to be several "enhancements" that are painfully stupid. In my 45 year IT career, I have experienced every Windows upgrade since it's inception. This one just doesn't seem to offer any perceived improvements over Windows 10.
My old computer had become frustratingly slow and balky. This new HP is blazingly fast. Both boot-up and operation within the web or applications is almost instantaneous . This is one of those “why didn’t I do this sooner” things.
The computer is a good one, but I do not like the programs installed or the screen layout to reach them. It takes several steps to get to a site which before on my old computer was just one click. The steps are not always logical.
Like the speed but have big issues with the way the C&D drives are configured. I backed up all my docs, pictures, videos and music from my old computer on to an external hard drive. When I copied the material into the respective folders on the new PC everything went into the C (SSD) drive which immediately filled up! Those folders should be in the D drive with a terabyte of space! I made my own folders in the D drive. It's just clunky even after I went into settings and set all downloads to go into D.
