The handheld sealer is a great solution for vacuum sealers with built in hoses that have stopped working. It works with canisters and the vacuum zipper bags. I love my FoodSaver and the handheld unit. Great company, excellent products, and fantastic customer service!

I use the resealable zip-locks all the time. Got my mother hooked on them, so Santa brought her a new sealer, and she loves it. So do I, Santa pf course brought me one as well. VERY quiet, which was a problem on the old sealer, and fast to evacuate. It appears they have updated the O-ring seal to, which is good. A TOTALLY great tool.

I love the handheld food saver. So easy to use. I tested out the bags and saver by cutting an avocado in half, adding a little lemon juice, and removing all the air. After 4 days, my half avocado was still green! I loved it so much I bought three more as Christmas gifts. Two others did the same test and were sooo happy with the same results. It’s so easy to use, throw the food in the ziplock like bag, vacuum out air and your done.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This item is very weak in vacuum sealer food container or food bags, I would NOT recommend this Item to anyone, Don't get me wrong, I use food saver item's everyday in my kitchen, pantry, chest freezer, refrigerator. "PUT" this item is "NOT" worth the money.

Love it but it stopped working after a year

I got this as a gift from my mother-in-law and it has been so handy for sealing things quickly without having to get out my larger Foodsaver. I only use it for things such as cheese and deli meat. It has power and appears to be charging due to green light being on but the last time I tried to use it it would not work. I have no idea why.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
