Hand held big disappointment.

The hand held V1100 is a big disappointment if you had the original one that had great suction and lasted almost 15 years. The suction is very poor. Not recommended. I must add that I did return this item and received a full refund. Hopefully the company will come out with a better product.

handheld vacuum sealer died - disappointing

I miss the old version of handheld vacuum sealer that had a light that indicated when the seal was complete. This newer model just died, won't take a charge anymore and is disappointing that I don't know when something is finished vacuuming. I have lots of the old style containers that I still wish to use so I may have to order another of these small vacuums, but wish the design could be updated to include an indicator of when container is sealed. I DO appreciate having the jar lid sealing as well since I no longer have the countertop vacuum sealer that I never used.

This works great with re-usable bags for cheese and lunch meat. It is portable and travels well. I had to replace the one that came with my unit as the adapter that plugged into my unit broke on second use.

Not worth the money

This item is a piece of junk. It stop working under a year after using less than 15 times. Now I am left with containers that I am not sure what to do with. I have a larger Foodsaver machine, when it stop working, I will never purchase another foodsaver item.

Works okay, not very powerful and awkward to use. You have to hold the top down the whole time it is sealing and you can’t just press it with a finger- I have to press it down with my hand. Once you manage to hold it just right, it does seal fine. I have a larger handheld from Foodsaver, that has two buttons on the front- one to seal and one to marinate, and it works so much easier, faster. So I am disappointed with this purchase.

We have used the FoodSaver handheld vacuums for over a decade and this model has been a dream with its compact design and easy use. The battery never runs out with the so convenient charging base.
