Great suction!

This little guy gets the job done! I wrapped a pound of raw hamburger in freezer paper and put it in a freezer bag. The white paper turned red in spots as the suction was so strong it sucked the blood right out of the meat. Ooops. Works much better than my former other brand manual sealer.

Worked great for two months

I bought this two months ago to preserve produce from our garden. It worked great initially I was so pleased with the ease of use. Now, however, it won't turn on. The green light comes on when its in the charging base but goes blank when removed and doesn't work at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not worth it

Worthless. I have gone thru 3 of them so far. Foodsaver has replaced two, but I have just given up sending them back. I have reverted to the original device. Have to keep it plugged in all the time, but it has worked for years. Wish they would go back to the first design.

Compact and takes minimum of counter space.This is a fabulous product and has saved me lots of money with the vacuum sealer on such items as cheese blocks, bread, large quantities of meat broken down into smaller portions, etc. Warning: pay attention when ordering bags as the package label has been changed and is not as clear to me as the previous "blue" packaging.

What a great idea. Who wants to haul out the main unit to seal frequently open/sealed items like cold cuts. This handheld unit is great for that! I’ve only used it for a couple of weeks but so far I think it is great. I’ve also used it to seal Food Saver containers (with the nipple) and it works well for that too.
