I like this ok, but it’s a replacement for one that quit working after about a year. I thought about getting another brand, but I already had invested in the bags and containers. Fortunately I got this for a really good deal or I wouldn’t have bought it again. If (when) this one breaks, I’m definitely changing brands.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the convenience of this device. I can charge it up and throw it in a drawer and whip it out when I need to. But, man, the pump is slow. A mostly full quart bag will take more than a few minutes to compact. Oh, well, a tradeoff for convenience.

Love the handy vacuum sealer

I have been using my hand held cordless for 3 years and I love it. I have the reusable bags and the "kit" to vacuum seal mason jars, regular & widemouth. I love the keeping cereal, grains, cookies etc in the jars. It keeps them fresh literally for months.

Nedd The Zipper Bags; Need The Handheld Sealer.

I’ve been using Food Saver zipper bags for years; which means I’ve used handheld vacuum sealers for years. The batteries are not long-lived. Within a few months, they’re dead and won’t recharge. So, while I need to keep using the bags, I need to continue using handheld sealers. I order two handheld vacuum sealers at a time; so, I always have a spare ready to go when the one in use dies. Yes, I consider using these zipper bags that essential.
