Works perfect! I live alone so when I make a large batches of soup, pastas, etc I put them in a Foodsaver bowl and seal them up. You can also use the bowl and this device on the marinate cycle.

Doesn't fit the bottle stopper.

I purchased it primarily for use with the bottle stoppers. It doesn't fit, the older one fit, but this one doesn't fit the bottle stoppers. It works great for the sealable bags, providing that the seal and the bag is working correctly, which is hit or miss with your products.

Works great on zip bags, less so on hard containers. Half the hard container end up losing their seal and I wonder if it’s because this handheld doesn’t get enough vacuum to hold the seal.

I've been using this for a few weeks now and it's working really well! I replaced a hand pump with this and I couldn't be happier! I'm hoping that it lasts for some time given that it's a rechargeable device. Time will tell.
