I bought this to uses with the glass marinate/storage containers and it does not work at all.

The Foodsaver machine I’m very happy with. It does exactly what they said it would do. I use it everyday. Fish, Foul, Meats, Vegetables, Etc. I really don’t know what I would do without it. The machine has saved me a lot of money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this unit ( Actually model FS2160) in April, 6 months ago, as a replacement for a faulty V1100 (which was a replacement for an older style model which worked for YEARS). Up to the point that the unit would no longer operate to draw a vacuum, it was great. The unit worked to draw a vacuum on the freezer bags. it also worked with a marinating container to marinate food. but all of a sudden it just quit working. it appeared not to fully charged any more. It was lit up in the charging station but when I pressed the button, the light dimmed and nothing happened. I would REALLY like the unit replaced, but I need it replaced with one that will not fail as the previous units fail. It was a real mistake to go with the new unit - the old hand-held style ( large and red ) lasted for YEARS until the charging plug wore out. Please HELP! I have many things to vacuum freeze.

Weak, doesn’t fit bottle tops or the marinade containers. Why tis is the only handheld they carry now is unsatisfactory!!!! Unreliable for even sealing the bags. Ugh!!!!

Best idea for lazy people!

I’ve had my little rechargeable vacuum sealer for 6 months and really like how easy it is to use with the refillable bags. We owned the big one for several years but defaulted to ziplock bags too often because we were all too lazy to get the thing out and use it for one thing. This mini one solves our laziness problem.
