It did not seal. Quiet unit and small. Maybe that is why the suction power is low

Love it but be careful of any liquids

I purchased my first Cordless Handheld 2 years ago. It worked beautifully we loved it because we could use it at home and in our camper. It says it has a liquid reservoir on the base but it didn't keep enough liquid out of it during one of the many uses and stopped working shortly after. We loved it so much that we purchased another one and had that one for about 6 months and unfortunately the same thing happened again to our second one. I loved this product but be very carful when there is any liquid in the bags.
I would recommend this to a friend!
