I absolutely love this little food saver! I have been using food saver since I was 20 and as a single woman it has helped me save money and not to waste food. This little thing works wonders for what I need it for.
When it comes to liquid, I feel people should take the liquid out the container or original bag, use a paper towel at the top, like with meats or wrap it in plastic wrap, so that way when you seal it, no liquid gets caught. Thats what I do! I'm not sure why people are having a problem with this device??
Also before I seal, I take as much air out and lay it flat, then I seal and it seals in like a few seconds. I wait for the sound and I know I done! Wa la!!! :) The vacuum sealer is not perfect its a little device that when used properly, is great! Sometimes when you use a device and leave so much air, you're forcing it to work extra hard. get rid of some the air yourself when you lay it flat and it should suck out the air just fine.
It doesn't say that its freezer safe but I froze my veggie burgers, that already had their own vacuum seal bag and I just put these in there and its fine. sometimes you just have to use your intuition, you can't expect a company to have questions to every single question. Just use common sense and rely on your own brain (no offense to anyone :) ) I'm just saying.
I'm good at problem solving and like I said I have been using their products for over 20 years and never have I had a problem with the sealers or bags. I wish I worked for them lol, because I know their products inside out!

Sealing jars YES , sealing bags NO

I tried using the bags that it came with. Took all the air our but within 10 minutes the bag filled up with air.
So I use my wide mouth cap attachment from my big seal unit and place on jar and then use the hand sealer on my jar and it seals the lid. This works great if you keep getting into your jar , in less than 1 minute you can reseal jar. Now if I have a lot of jars to seal then I use my big machine to seal all my jars .

Oh my gosh, how did I live without this product. I'm a big fan of fresh fruits and vegetables and this vacuum sealer keeps them fresh so much longer than anything else I've found.

Horrible product

Bought the V1100 cordless handheld and it stopped worked after a couple of months. I contacted customer support and they shipped me a replacement which also stopped working after a couple of months. I gave it one star because while it was working, it was a good product, but don't waste your money. It's not worth it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this was the best purchase I have made in a while. Very efficient little tool to have in the kitchen. Quiet, convenient and seems to hold its charge for quite a while. Goes anywhere in the kitchen. Or the whole house for that matter.
