It is a very nice, compact unit and does the job. It has one weakness, the two pins on back that contact to charge while in the charging unit have weak springs. Be very carful when placing and removing unit from charger.

No power

This thing is way too small to have any power to it. I used to have a much larger handheld unit that worked so much better and so much faster. Very disappointed in this item. It works but it doesn’t work nearly as well as the larger discontinued handheld.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bags don't stay vacuumed

I bought one of these and have used it seven or eight times with FoodSaver bags. The suction works fine, and the bags are sealed tight, but the next day they have air in them. I haven't seen this reported, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

the idea is sound, the bags and hand held vacuum work as expected, however the seal on the bags seem to seep if you will, they loose the vacuum to quickly,short periods is fine but for any length of time it leaves something to be desired
