Absolutely Horrible

I brought the new one after the older model that I had for years stopped working. I was only able to use it twice before it completely stopped suctioning. I put my finger under it and nothing happens. The older model was perfect this new one only looks nice but it does not do the job.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Huge Disappointment

I loved the Ziploc vacuum bags but they are no longer available. I bought this as a replacement and was extremely disappointed because it was essentially non-functional. It suck almost no air out of the bag even with multiple attempts on more than 1 bag. I made sure the bag was "zipped" tightly. I did save my hand pump for the Ziploc vacuum bags which works well for the bags you use with this device. I will continue to purchase the bags but have no use for this device.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

FoodSaver Cordless Handheld Food Vacuum Sealer

My older one doesn't hold a charge anymore so bought this. First i like the new design, much smaller and sleeker looking with a recharging base. Its much quieter you can hardly hear it vacumming unlike older model. This will work with older accessories much the way hose models did but for the newer containers it just fits over the valve top no need for the black adapter anymore. My full size Foodsaver is great to seal bags but this little one gets most of the work for everything else.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Doesn't work well with bottle stoppers and..

Doesn't seem to make a good connection with the bottle stoppers and the 1 QT bags are not supposed to be used in the freezer.

I am rather disappointed with the revised version of the handheld inflator. It is much less powerful, consequently takes longer to evacuate the bags. Still, it does work.
I would love to be able to send back the previous model for repair, if that is possible.

Not satisfied with longevity of product

This is my second one. I thought i would try again. My first stopped working a couple months after I purchased it. Couple years later I thought I would try again. Same thing is happening. Checked internet for problems. No help.
Worked great at first. Used it everyday and now I have multiple bags with no use.

Just the right size!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This handheld food saver is perfect for me! I live alone, so when I buy meat at the grocery, I divide it into small packages, just enough for one serving. This food saver is easy to use and store. I am able to repackage my pork chops, chicken and ground beef into individual packages in a matter of minutes. I like the fact that I don't have to leave it on my counter.
