This little gadget works like a charm. I use mine to vacuum seal things in mason jars. Make sure the lid & jar rim are clean. I found several Youtube videos with great tips. I would definitely buy this again.

Excellent design. V1100 works great, but....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cordless Handheld Sealer works great and is much, much quieter than the previus model. But, and this is a big "but", the instruction leaflet is very poor in regards to the proper recharging technique of the Unit. First, can the unit be left in the Charging base between uses? Second, if not, how often should the Unit be charged and for how long? And, lastly, should the Unit only be recharged when it has lost most of its power? I did the 24-hour initial charge. Now what?
I would recommend this to a friend!

We love it, very portable. Works great with zipper bags all sizes. Great for taking small portions out and re-using on same bags. Seems to be holding a charge pretty good.

Broke in 2 months

Bought this about 2 months ago, specifically, to seal my jars. The tip, just now, broke off and is stuck inside the jar attachment. I am in the midst of processing. Great idea for this product. Horrible execution.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

much better than their earlier version. it holds a charge and does numerous bags without recharging. it still needs a charging indicator to tell fully charged and a level indicator to tell the charge remaining. for the price it cost this is not much to ask.

Great gadget, reuseable bags not so great

I bought this over a year ago and whilst the gadget itself is great I have found the reuseable bags to be not so great.
The sealer holds its charge for a long time.
If you are using the bags for long term storage you will need to check every week or so to ensure they haven't lost their vacuum. In my experience it's been a hit and miss exercise.
If you wash the bags, throw them out, they lose the ability to retain the vacuum.
The bags are relatively small and if you can't lay the vacuum sealer flat, it won't vacuum.
But the bags have their uses and are good for keeping smaller dry things vacuumed such as herbs.
I also had trouble obtaining a seal on the containers it came with, and when I did, it didn't stay sealed.
I give the gadget 4 stars, the bags I would give 3 stars.
