This is my second food saver. I had the first one for years before it finally wore out-we have a garden, its great for veggies. Also meats that you want to freeze.

I love my FoodSaver. I cooked lots of food (especially meats ), froze it all, and took it to my college student. Just wish I had owned it when my mother lived alone in the same town.

Had it for two months, and the accessory hose has failed. The regular part works fine, but now I have no way to seal mason jars. Waiting for a shipping label to send it to Neosho
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This replaced a Food Saver that I had for several years and finally gave out. LOVE the bag storage in unit, the quiet operation during sealing process, and the slice option on the newer units.
