This is our first time purchasing a Foodsaver item, and we are pleased that we did. We purchased this item prior to a large meat order. We are very happy with the ease of operation, and the quality of the product.

I bought this during a recent sale at an excellent discounted price to replace my original V1050 FoodSaver which I have had for quite a number of years (and is still working by the way). I thought I would replace my V1050 before it 'dies'. I really like the new FM3920. It's a lot quieter and seems to have more suction. I like the integrated accessory holder, roll storage and moist settings. I do miss the ability to seal manually (shut it off before the suction is complete) that I had with the V1050. Also, I took off one star because of the limited number of color options. I'm not one for black appliances. I thought it would be ok because 'black' hides the dirt but it really shows all the fingerprints like crazy. I would have preferred a white one or a stainless steel 'look' (those were not options). Otherwise, I am very happy with this purchase and liked getting the bag samples as well (especially the zippered bags). I also like the minimal packaging which shows Foodsaver's effort to support 'Green' and reduce pollution.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not what I expected from a FoodSaver machine. At times it had issues sealing bags and would not seal them completely. The knob on the side of the machine feels like you're going to break it to get it in the on position. But once you actually get it to work it works very well. Not sure I would purchase this model might go for a more expensive one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to try out the Foodsaver FM3000 Series because I felt that it would be a great product for my family. As a mother with small children, I feel that it is sometimes difficult to buy the right amount of food that we need without constantly worrying if I have enough or if it will end up going to waste. The Foodsaver started to put my mind at ease because now I can buy in bulk and separate the food into the portions that make sense for us. Being able to use the Vacuum and Seal helps to ensure that the food will last. The Foodsaver comes with pretty simple instructions with pictures every step of the way, so it doesn't take any guess work to figure out what buttons you need to press. Also, it comes put together already so there is no assembly required. The only issue that I had was that once you press the "Seal" button for instance, you have to wait a little while for it to finish. Since you are able to open the lid manually, I think it should be added in the instructions to wait until the light turns off before you open the lid, or maybe it should lock so that you are unable to open the lid until it is finished. Overall, the Foodsaver is easy to use and I'm sure will save my family a good amount of money over time.

FoodSaver 3620

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The FoodSaver 3620 is my first experience with a vacuum food preservation system. The unit is already to go out of the box. The electrical cord extends 23 inches from the back of the unit, limiting the area in which you can use it. The black does show every fingerprint, but it is really easy to wipe off. I first started out with the make a bag roll, and successfully sealed some beef jerky, and then apple slices. The apple slices are still fresh, in refrigeration, no browning, after being sealed 5 days ago, without being treated. Next, I placed a dry seasoning rub on a London broil, and used a ready made bag, and was successful in vacuum sealing that, it remains in my refrigerator until this weekend. I then butterflied some boneless chicken breasts. I made single serve bags from the roll, taking what I thought was enough out for the seal allowance but fell a bit short. The sealing strip in the unit is a good inch and a half past the front closure and you have to take into consideration the thickness of the food. I partially froze the chicken as was recommended, and added a tablespoon of marinade to each bag. When sealing these, I could see the liquid advancing on the vac cycle. Starting again, the moist setting did not improve anything, so it seems like a useless feature, nor are there any directions for using that. Once the edge of the bags get wet, I had to seal them a few times. I also used a ready made bag for 6 pieces of marinated chicken, which I had no problem sealing. All of the chicken was used for a DIY Sous Vide. The seal on the large bag gave way at the very end when removing it from the warm water bath, but the chicken was absolutely delicious. The resealable vacuum bags for use with the attachment, one bag of lettuce remains air free in refrigeration, a smaller bag of dried parsley lost the seal overnight in the cabinet. I experimented vacuuming and resealing a few original chip and cereal bags and had great success. I successfully sealed a half block of cheese from the make a bag roll, but again didn't leave enough extra material to open and reseal it again. Overall it was a great experience. I'd recommend using the ready made bags first, they seem more durable and thicker than the roll material and secondly using the roll to make custom sizes, but double sealing all the sides after checking that it's scrupulously dry. I received the FoodSaver 3620 in exchange for an honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the vacuum saving for two weeks and really enjoy this product. Super easy to use and set up. I had this product up and running in under five minutes, thanks to the easy to use quick setup guide. Some of my favorite features are the adjustable bags, user friendliness, and the marinate feature. I cook a lot and the marinate feature saves me time. I highly recommend this product and it will save you time and money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Foodsaver to freeze zucchini in the bag and had no problem with first bag but 2nd bag took 3 attempts. Got it sealed after opening, wiping seal in bag and trying again. Tried sealing pretzels in the container and never could get a seal. Tried everything suggesting in manual and even after getting the green light every time, the dimple never would depress. I would use for the bags but not containers (which I wouldn't use much anyway).
